Don't waste your money- not worth the the trees killed
Created: 06/09/07
The last line in the book is 'Kevin loves comments from readers'. Ok, here's my commentary: In my opinion (Kevin's favorite line, too)Kevin Trudeau has succeeded in separating desperate & hopeful people from their money. Cut out the constant allusions to his 'persecution', consolidate all the 'cures' which seem to be the same for every disease [mostly the same general good healthy advice you can get for free from WebMd] & you end up with the covers plus perhaps 60 pages.
The basic cure for everything? He is adamant all food and cosmetics in one's life must be 100% organic. Great. How many people can afford to throw out everything in their home and start over?
The 'specific cures for specific diseases' was 11 pages in one chapter. Wanna cure a sore throat? Gramma said gargle with salt water. Kevin agrees.
I've had Multiple Sclerosis for 26 years- Kevin handled my 'cure' in just 26 words! WOW- & here I've been wasting my time at the Cleveland Clinic getting physical therapy & pain control when I could have been washing my colon, liver & gallbladder, drinking more vinegar & getting a nice tan. FYI: Kevin makes a SERIOUS MISTAKE in his advice- one that could likely land any MS patient in the hospital- he recommends SAUNAS. Kevin, Kevin..if you're reading this: Heat is the #1 ENEMY of all MS patients- we get overheated & we can plan on paying for it in days of muscle weakness and spasm, along with pain ramping up out of control. Obviously Kevin isn't aware MS patients wear cooling vests, and air conditioning is mandatory in summer.
The rest of his 'cures' are pretty much the same drivel. If he just stuck to his paranoia of how the FDA and pharmaceutical companies were after him, I wouldn't care, but heaven help anyone who tries to live (or die) by this book.
Want more great advice from the book? If you are dehydrated, drink water. Oh my word! Why didn't I think of that?
Do you have a tumor? Well, hop in a sauna- and do some wonderful esoteric body washing and by gum you should be cured. My all time favorite line has to be in the 'cures' section where he lists the 'causes' of diseases- do you have a phobia (triskedeskaphobia, perhaps?)? The cause of phobias is....anybody's guess. Yeppers, now that was worth all the money paid for this book. Here all those psych folks are hard at work and Kev has the ultimate answer...
Erectile dysfunction appears to be caused [in part] by childhood vaccinations- so, Mom, does that mean you risk exposing your baby boy to whooping cough, polio, diptheria, or hepatitis so that in 50 or 60 years he can still get it on with a twenty year old without Viagra? Kev doesn't say.
Kevin also refers people to such experts as L. Ron Hubbard (famed science fiction writer and founder of Scientology)and numerous suggestions to buy books from some Ph.D (Piled higher & Deeper) named Gary Null. Other than a philosophy degree, one has no clue as to what Null is an expert in. Selling advice books is a good guess.
Keep your hand on your wallet, folks. Kevin Trudeau is using the oldest con game in the world - selling 'secrets' while whining about persecution, and offering to let YOU in on the ground floor for ONLY......oops no matter how deep you go, there is always more money you can transfer into his accounts thru his 'newsletter', website, more books....blah blah blah.
I am putting my copy(given me by someone who was mad at being stiffed) to good use. It is propping up a bookcase that tilts.

Thought provocative, but redundant -- a good quick read
Created: 19/12/07
This book is worth a quick read if you get it from eBay (or other internet source) for a good price. It is readily available for under $10. I do not recommend buying it from the Trudeau television ads. This review is nearly identical to my review of Trudeau's next book in his series, "More Natural Cures Revealed". Many of the actual cures are not actually disclosed in the book. One is required and frequently encouraged by the author to visit his subscription based website to find out more complete information on them.
Side note: I've heard many horror stories about problems using Credit Cards through this television advertising company. They offer a free 30 day trial of Trudeau's website at http://www.NaturalCures.com and many have found in nearly impossible to stop the $9.95 monthly charge that begins to appear on thier statements after this promotional period ends.
Trudeau does have some good information included in his books if you buy-in to his conspiracy thoeries about the FTC, AMA and FDA and thier corrupt dealings with pharmaceutical companies and their abuse of power. If even partially true, it's quite shocking. He says, for them, it's always about the money -- not the health and safety of the individual consumer.
I think Trudeau makes exaggerated claims of the effectivness, speed and completeness of many of the cures. But, they warrent study and may truly be helpful to some degree. At least he is promoting awareness to many possibilities that are available to us in contrast to traditional medicine. Aside from Trudeau's redundancy in his style of authoring, I liked the book. I found it to be a stepping-stone to more detailed studies in the field of alternative medicine and to information about the corruption in big-business used to exploit the average consumer.

Many have not read the book and only skimmed the pages!
Created: 04/12/07
All of you that have reported on this book cannot "honestly" say that you have read it. Most of you have merely skimmed the pages and found some repetition in his explanation of the FDA, Big Pharma and The Mass Food Producers of "packaged foods". What most people are not aware of is the threefold system of explanation. 1st time you are told something or read it you forget it. The 2nd time you are told something or read it you forget it. But the third time you are told something or read it, you "remember it" completely! That is why so many of you have commented on his repetition in the book. If you go back and re-read it you will find information repeated only 3 times throughout the entire book. Most of you have also "missed" the full impact of what he is all about. He is a whistle blower on everything corrupt within the FDA who has more than 51% of their employees paid by "Big Pharma". So who do you think the FDA is protecting? Certainly, not the American public in this country that the agency was created for. They are protecting "Big Pharma" and the stock holders looking for profits in Pharmaceutical stocks. As he has stated, "It is all about the Money” not the protection of the American consumer! He even instructs the reader to “read” the labels on the products that you buy that are “pre-packaged”. This is clearly very good information to help put you on the right track of a healthy diet. When you read all the difficult words that are described on “food labels” and you can’t pronounce the word, do you believe it is a natural ingredient that came from natural fruit or vegetation out of, or above the ground? NO - they are manmade ingredients that are produced in a lab and they are added to the pre-packaged foods so many people buy and eat. If anyone here thinks that there will ever be a cure for any of the diseases we have in epidemic proportions in this country, think again! It is all about the "Money" and Big Pharma would rather have each and every one of you on several prescription drugs. He even states in his book that you should ask your doctor this simple question when you are given a prescription. Does the prescription treat the cause of your problem or does it just treat the symptom? Ask your Dr. that question and see how he avoids it or gives you a completely different response to your question. That’s where they make their money. Example, curing Cancer would cost the multi-national pharmaceutical companies Billions and Billions of dollars a year in lost profits. So there will never be a cure in our lifetime. He is educating us on the proper nutrition which is fruit and vegetables and is listed as a cure several times in his book. I am completely appalled that so many people would bash his book when he takes no profit from the sale of this book. It talks about it if you read it. So many people have their eyes closed with no vision about the truth of fraud that exists within our country.

i can't believe it!

Honestly, my mom got several of the books from someone, and they are all basically the same. There isn't so much about natural cures, and there is a whole lot of "they don't want you to know about them". That's great... the government is full of conspiracy. DUH! but it's not in our food or our medicine. It is in capitalism. This book makes a great fiction piece, and I think I could write a better one with even more ridiculous information. Come on people. It is illegal for the government to ban books. Laws are put in place because people voted for them and no one is going to vote to be put in the dark. People just need to wise up and learn what is going on. As for the book, don't buy it because it is a waste of money. I read the new diet secrets book at a local book store, and it is all the same garbage.
you want to know what the secret is... Ok, if you are seeing multiple doctors for multiple ailments, make sure that they know what medications that you are already on so that you aren't taking things that react with each other. Oh and good food and exercise are good for you. Oh wait "they" teach you these things in grade school.

Terrible writing skills

I wish I could give this book a good review, but I just can't. From the junior high school writing styles to the constant repitition--it all makes for a very annoying read. It's such an ANNOYING read, that I could not finish the book. If I can read John Robbin's books with zest and speed and not this one, that ought to tell you something.
Kevin spends much of his time repeating himself and directing you to his website where you can get information about cures he won't tell you in his book for a fee. Isn't this like the prostitute calling the porn star a ----. Very hypocritical. Also much of what he's saying in this book just seems like half-baked theories and little else. I'm a staunch advocate of natural health, holistic healing, etc., but this book has too many flaws to recommend.
Much of the information you get in this book is common sense or it is info. people should be learning as they get older or it's information that is available in other publications.
If you must have this book, buy it on Ebay where you'll save tons of money compared to what they charge in books stores or on Kevins informercial. Don't pay full price for it because 1. There is no need to pay full price for it. 2. It's not worth paying full price for. 3. There's a big chance you'll be quite dissapointed like the rest of us if you pay full price for it.
