NBA 2K11 (Sony Playstation 3, 2010)

NBA 2K11 is a love letter to basketball fans. If you don't follow hoops, a lot of the subtleties will be lost on you. And if you are looking for a loose, fun, crazy dunkfest experience like NBA Jam, you're going to get hosed. But if you are serious about basketball, this will fill a long-standing void in your hoops-loving heart. This is the NBA. No one else has come close to representing it in such great and accurate detail as this.

Honestly, the stuff with Michael Jordan is reason enough to pick up NBA 2K11. The fact that 2K Sports did so much more with this game and improved it so greatly over last year's title is stunning. This isn't just the best basketball game ever; it's the best sports game of this generation.

Unparalleled recreation of the NBA. The Jordan Challenges bring historic moments to life with incredible detail. Pure awesome.

Great animations, it runs smoothly in every mode, and many of the player faces look solid. A definite ding for botching Kobe and a few other stars.

The custom commentary for the Jordan games is fantastic. Even regular season games are solid, though there's some repetitive dialogue. The soundtrack is sweet.

Just about nailed it perfectly. A few bugs and AI blips, plus an overly aggressive defense are the only issues.
10 Lasting Appeal
The Jordan stuff could be a game in itself. Then you get an awesome franchise mode, the slow, but rewarding My Player mode and solid online play.

On Tuesday, October 5, 2010 2K Sports has decided to release the BEST Basketball video game EVER, with the greatest basketball player of ALL-TIME.

When I first heard that Michael Jeffrey Jordan was going to be on the cover of NBA 2K11, I thought to myself "This will be the best NBA Video Game and Basketball Video Game EVER!!!" But, when I popped in the game on my PS3 several days after Christmas, I knew that I would be right.

NBA 2K11 lives up to its' name, due to award-winning gameplay, graphics, sound and also you can not forget about the Jordan Challenges. Sure, they are very difficult, but once you get the hang of it, you will master them in no time. Also, what I liked about 2K11 is that not only they feature the classic Chicago Bulls teams, but also the opportunity to play as other classic teams, such as the '86 Celtics, '90 Pistons, '91 Lakers, '95 Knicks, '96 SuperSonics and '97 and '98 Utah Jazz. I haven't tried My Player Mode yet, but from what I heard it is awesome. I hope 2K12 can top that, since EA isn't going to come out with another basketball game in a year or so.

This is a very good sports video game. It has very quality graphics and player designs are very good. The best part about this game by far is the inclusion of Michael Jordan and all of the teams he had career moments against. Also, 10 of his most famous moments are recreated and playable. Moments include the "Sick Game" against the Utah Jazz, when Jordan was sick with the flu and still lead the Bulls to a major win. Also, the "Shoulder Shrug" game is recreated. In these games, the player plays against the actual teams Jordan played against. Players like John Stockton, Karl Malone, Clyde Drexler, and James Worthy are included and help make the games very fun and realistic. This game is recommended for any classic basketball fan and for people who love a good sports game.

This is byfar the greatest basketball game to hit the Earth. The graphics are unbelievable, and all of the Michael Jordan challenges are an absolute enjoyment to play. This game has great play-by-play announcement, up-to-date rosters and even all of the old Chicago Bulls rosters (Yep...Dennis Rodman is in this game!).

I can't stop playing the Jordan Challenges. I love the play-by-play in these games, because they actually say things that refer to the year of each Jordan Challenge (i.e.: Against the Lakers in the NBA Finals, announcers give out Scottie Pippen's stats in the round before the Finals and mention things about what Jordan had accomplished that season).

All of the new logos and arena designs for each team have been updated. The music is awesome and this game gets 10 out of 10 from me. I may be biased because I but NBA2k every year, but this is definitely a notch above the rest! :)

Its a great pleasure to get a basketball game which shows the greatest of His Airness...MJ! The game is realistic to the core and always seems to amaze and challenge me. It took me at least 10-15 games to finally win a game :O!! I'm new to the 2K series and I'm very impressed! Big up to 2K!!! Coming from EA to 2K; there was an extremely steep learning curve and NBA 2K11 gave me the spanking of my life. The new isomotion was a pleasure learning and its great when you do because the game goes to a whole new level.

Pros: Everything; from game play to online play its the best basketball sim.
