Need for Speed Nitro (Wii, 2009)

I think giving a "good" rating may be a little harsh on this game, because the bottom line is that it's just a lot of fun to play, plus it's great to finally see a Need For Speed on Wii that feels like it was actually developed for Wii. While I'm not sure how much replay value this will have for me long-term, in the short-term it's providing some great, thrill-a-minute fun. It's kind of a shame, because I think with just a little bit more thrown in (more depth, online play)and a little more attention to graphics, (like most Wii titles, it's a bit cartoonish) this game would've been spectacular. As is, it makes a nice complement to Mario Kart. Also, props to EA for a great soundtrack, especially for the inclusion of Earl Greyhound's "Oye Vaya" - it's such a good racing tune.

I bought the Wii game Need for Speed Nitro 1 month ago. It is best car game for Wii I have played. However, I still prefer the versions for PC or PlayStation3. The gameplay is terrific since you can use any kind of controller and the graphics are good. In my opinion, the main drawback is the few number of maps available.

The WII Need for Speed Nitro is a great racing game. I like how the game lets you unlock and earn different vehicles through its many races. Another thing I like about this game are the vehicles featured in it. They truly are cars that were meant to be raced, with the Type 2 VW as an exception. I have only played the game in steering wheel mode and it reacts very well. It also gives you the option to play the game with the nunchuk and controller, but honestly I don't know why anybody would want to. The only thing thing I did not like is that it takes a while to load the races, but it is very fast to restart a race.

I PURCHASE THIS *NEED FOR SPEED* Wii GAME FOR MY HUSBAND FOR CHRISTMAS. HE JUST LOVES IT. YOU CAN PICK ANY KIND OR TYPE OF CAR FOR ANY OF THE RACES, EVEN DIFFERENT COLOR CHOICES. THERE ARE MANY RACE COURSE CHOICES, SO YOU COULDN'T BECOME BORED. HE IS REALLY GOOD AT THIS GAME, BUT IT GIVES ME A LITTLE TROUBLE (NOT MY FAVORITE GAME TO PLAY). ALTHOUGH MY 2 KIDS ALSO LOVE IT! THEY ENJOY THE THRILL OF THE CHASE AND SPEED. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THIS GAME TO ANYONE WHO LOVES FAST AND EXCITING GAMES. A+++++

This is the first Racing game that I have gotten and my 4 year old nephew and I like it alot .As a car painter I have lots of fun designing the custom paint on the cars and it's great fun for the little guy too . A family fun game and a very good challenge for all .
