Needlework in Miniature by Virginia Merrill (1978, Paperback)

I bought this book hoping for some new ideas for miniature needlepoint rugs and was not disappointed. There are a variety of charted patterns in a wide range of styles. There are also some great patterns for a needlepoint bellpull, seat covers, a sampler and more.
This book would have rated excellent if there had been more patterns for doll clothes and quilts. If you are looking for patterns for clothing for dollhouse dolls, this is probably not the book to buy. Also, the patchwork quilt shown is very basic. Back issues of Miniature Quilts magazine (found on eBay, as it is no longer being published) are a better source of patterns for dollhouse quilts.
Despite those small complaints, it is a book that I would recommend for needleworkers who are looking to make some elegant projects to frame or to decorate a dollhouse.

Just the title I was looking for. Patterns and information very helpful. I had been told this was a good reference and after viewing my friend's, I decided to search for my own copy

I bought this book because I have another by the same author that I absolutely love. I feel that this book is more for the begining dollhouse enthusiast. It has alot of good ideas for building the house and I would recommend it. The price was very reasonable.
