Her Terrifying & Inspiring Life Really Opened My Eyes.

Created: 12/10/09
Cherie Currie lived an extraordinary life. This biography takes you behind the scenes of the all-girl punk band, The Runaways; revealing the conflicts and struggles when the fans weren't around. I never realized how life was for the girls when they were on the road or no one was around. The novel also takes you into the mind of the gorgeous Cherie Currie. You get to know her on a more personal level, and I could relate to some of the feelings she had. We learn about her family life, her drug use, her music and film career, and the choices she has to make. I could not put the book down, it was very intense and emotional. Cherie recalls the good and bad memories of her life as if you are sitting right beside her, listening to the words come directly from her mouth. This is a rare biography to find and I am so lucky and fortunate to have found it since I was born in '91. If you are a fan of Cherie Currie and The Runaways, this novel will open your eyes to the true life of a young punk icon. It is very personal and touching.
