    Movie synopsis

This intense, bare-knuckle brawler tells the tale of Diego Carter (Hector Echavarria), a legitimate mixed-martial-arts champion who is unwittingly led into a brutal circuit of underground fighting. Fully capable and all too aware of the fact that the only way out is to play by the corrupt promoters’ rules, Diego embarks on a mission to destroy his opponents one by one, lest he be destroyed. Gritty and action-packed, NEVER SURRENDER features a cast full of real-life MMA fighters, including George St. Pierre, BJ Penn, Quinton Jackson, Heath Herring, and Anderson Silva.

TITLE SHOULD BE..."NEVER WATCH THIS MOVIE!"

    Created: 29/05/09
I don't know where to begin. I'm watching the movie right now and feel compelled to warn everybody about the torture I'm suffering right now at this moment in time.

First off, I'm a huge MMA fan! I haven't missed a UFC event since forever. So, when I saw this movie cover art with GSP and Rampage Jackson on the front...I'm thinking this is gonna rule...WRONG! All the UFC fighters they have billed as starring roles(BJ Penn, GSP, Rampage, Anderson Silva etc...) have cameos totalling about 5 minutes or less. GSP has his voice dubbed. Heath Herring has a role as a trainer, which isn't so bad.

But, the worst part of this movie is the old/fat writer/director/producer/lead actor Hector E.(I'm not giving his full name...he doesn't deserve any recognition). Dear god...he's like 50 something with an old ass and fat gut, male pattern baldness, worst accent ever and he wrote himself into the movie as the protagonist/stud fighter/romantic lead/etc... He's got like 1/2 a dozen of the most nauseating sex scenes in cinematic history with the sluttiest, skankiest, ugliest women in Hollywood. His fight scenes are even more nauseating. He's in an underground NHB tournament beating steroid bound thugs with ease...unbelievable, considering he's totally out of shape, with zero skills. He keeps doing these BS roundhouse kicks(which would never work in a real fight btw). Am I getting my point across? Oh, the fat, ugly idiot did one thing right, put GSP and Rampage on the cover art...and he's no where to be found...perfect marketing, because nobody would rent/buy this dvd if they saw him on it, seriously...he's that pathetic!

Look, I understand he's a former martial arts champion...I'm not taking away his accomplisments. Open up an academy and stop acting or making films starring you! A Chuck Norris you ain't!

To top it off, he's wearing skin tight Affliction shirts on his flabby body through half the movie. Then it turns into a story about sex trafficking...yeah it might have added a little interest right? WRONG! Even more unbelievable and ridiculously stupid. And check this out...HE TAKES OUT ANDERSON SILVA! Yes, he beats Anderson Silva in a parking lot using those faggy kicks...RIGHT!!!! Anderson must've been pissed to see himself get beat by this chump.

Do yourself a favor...please don't buy this movie or even rent it! You'll thank me later.

Bought this cos it was inexpensive and didn't expect much. Just wanted to check out the acting of GSP, Silva and Rampage. Their performances were all ok... the other UFC guys should stick to the octagon. The movie itself was really bad though with bad voice over, cheesy sets (esp. the club scenes) and the fighting was worse than a 1970's Chinese kung fu flick. The main bad guy character was terrible and the good guy was worse (both fighting and acting... good guy needed to hit the gym and get a trainer to work his abs and bad guy looked good for a 60 year old - I kid you not).

The women all looked liked strippers and street hookers but at least they played their parts (they're supposed to be european escorts). The soft porn scenes were also bad. The cars were the best part of the movie... everything else stunk. This should be one of the bottom movies for rotten tomatoes award razzies. I wouldn't pay more than $1 for this flick (that's what I paid) but tack on the shipping and it was a waste of money. Though I'm no movie expert (as I don't watch 100's a year), I do watch many action martial arts flicks and this has got to be one of the worst ever. 1 star rating.

I'm a huge UFC fan and of GSP. Go figure that I'd buy this DVD. The movie was alright. Can't expect a wonderful acting experience from MMA fighters, they only know how to fight, not act. I wonder if GSP was dubbed on this film as he spoke very good English in the film, whereas in real life, you can barely understand him. Overall, it's not a bad movie, especially for the awesome deal I got via eBay. Definitely don't hate it but future viewers should not have huge expectations. Fight scenes were good, I thought it would be better because of the wonderful MMA cast. Wouldn't recommend purchasing this dvd unless 1) you're an avid UFC/MMA fan 2) you're a GSP fan and/or 3)you get a good deal. Considering that it factors all of my qualifications, no regrets on the purchasing the DVD.
