The Neverending Story 3: Escape From Fantasia (DVD, 2002)

Young Bastian again seeks refuge from the problems of the real world in the mystical land of Fantasia in this third installment of The Neverending Story. Bastian Bux (here played by Jason James Richter) has moved to a new town and rediscovers the magical book that serves as the portal to Fantasia and finds solace in the power of imagination. Unfortunately, Bastian is having problems with a group of bullies known as the Nasties, who discover the boy's secret and steal the book. Their meddling wreaks havoc, ultimately releasing Fantasia's bizarre creatures into Earth's dimension. Naturally, it's up to Bastian to retrieve the book and return the Luck Dragon, Rock Eater, talking tree, gnomes, and other assorted creatures to their rightful home. Thus returning Fantasia back to normal. Imaginaive and exciting for all Neverending Story fans out there.

I like sifi movies, I already own The NeverEnding Story 1 and 2, I wanted the third to compleat the series. I think they are all great movies. I the movies teach us (people) to read more and use our imagination. It's just a fun movie to watch with family. I recomend it to anyone who like a fun andventures movie.

I had the Never Ending Story I and II on DVD already. I had Never Ending Story III on VHS but can no longer find it. I wanted to complete my DVD collection.

i can remember back to my childhood when there were some really great movies. one of my favorites as a kid was the neverending story. then they came out with a sequel that i watched and even half way enjoyed but it wasn't as good as the first. so when i first saw that they had made a 3rd neverending story i had no desire at all to see it... BUT then one day as i was checking out filmography on one of my favorite actors "Jack Black". i saw that he was listed as having been a character in this movie so then i just HAD to get it. (it was kinda like when i was really into "Christian Bale" because of some movies he had been in and then i found out he was the lead in a disney musical "newsies" i had to get it.....) unfortunatly for me though i didn't like the third neverending story as much as newsies. they keep changing the characters. they changed the actors play the parts and they also tried to give the creatures a new look or something which totally ruined it for me. i couldn't even "man up" and continue watching the movie. i watched the first 30 minutes or so and it was terrible. thank you. that is all!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been looking for Neverending Story III for years - no one had it and I was told they quit selling it at Best Buy, etc - coun't even order it - To me it is the best movie of the three in the series - and my kids love it!
