Movie synopsis
NEVERENDING STORY: In director Wolfgang Petersen's charming fantasy, Bastian (Barrett Oliver), a lonely schoolboy alienated from his father and bullied by his classmates, retreats to an attic where he becomes engrossed in a book entitled THE NEVERENDING STORY. It is the tale of a magical kingdom appropriately named Fantasia, since it is a world born of human fantasies. However, as humanity loses faith in the power of imagination, the once-thriving Fantasia is being destroyed by great storms of Nothingness. Dangerously ill herself, Fantasia's youthful empress (Tami Stronach) sends the young warrior Atreju (Noah Hathaway) on a quest to find a cure for the kingdom. After encountering flying dragons, swamp monsters, and a vast assortment of other strange creatures, the young hero discovers that only a human boy can save Fantasia, at which point Bastian is drawn, literally, into the pages of the story.NEVERENDING STORY II: Young Bastian and his friends in Fantasia continue their fantastic philosophical adventure. This time Bastian must battle an evil witch who threatens to destroy the imaginary world that reading books helps create.

Very entertaining for the whole family.
The NES II is not as good. The actors are not believable nor is the plot. It drags on and you wish SOMEONE would do SOMETHING! I didnt like it as well.
Overall good for kids...

When I see the title "Neverending Story", surely I'm curious to find out what exactly the film about. So I decided to bid on it, and Thanks God I won it. It takes about almost 2 (two) weeks to reach my area, Riau - Indonesia. But that's okay, I can understand that. And my well-patient has good result. I found no dissapointment while watching the film...

Neverending Story/Neverending Story II

) I saw this years ago and thought it was a great movie. It's got great characters, its funny, scary and has a good story line. And as a librarian, I love that the story is about a boy reading a book and getting sucked into it. This is not a well know movie, but it should be. I would say it's for ages 9 and up, as it does have some "dark scary" parts, but I think adults will love it too.

Never Ending Story 1 & 2

This is a terrific movie for the whole family to enjoy. It depicts caring and friendship. It also shows how one person can make a difference for the entire town or community.
Atreau is the type of kid that every little boy wants to be he's brave, strong and free to do as he wishes. This is a good character because it shows children how to fend and be themselves. Sabastian is also a strong character because he shows the same characteristics that Atreau.
I just think all around this is a great movie and even though it is older and slightly outdated it will remain a legendary film throughout time.

Bought for a xmas gift for two kids.
I think the young boy loved it more the older girl.
It has a intense polt line and at times a little bit strange.
Both the story hold to imagination and keeps them glued for more.
