Next of Kin (DVD, 1998)

When a vicious mobster bumps off a transplanted Kentuckian living in Chicago,
his cop brother, Truman (Patrick Swayze) seeks legal means to get revenge. But
Trumans older brother, Briar (Liam Neeson) has other ideas and heads from rural
Kentucky to Chicago in search of backwoods style justice. When Briar is killed
by the same mobster, Truman calls in all his kinfolk and they proceed to cause
havoc with the Chicago mobsters organization in some brutal ways, showing the
mobsters tricks that they have learned in the backlands over the years. Great
movie from the thriller ranks that most will enjoy.

I originally saw this movie on television, then I had to buy it. I'm a huge Liam Neeson fan, and it's my opinion that Liam almost steals this movie from Patrick Swayze. Swayze is a detective in the big city, but his roots are in the mountains of Kentucky. When his brother, also working in the city, is killed, Patrick is determined to find his killer. However, Patrick's other brother in the movie, Liam, also wants to find their younger brother's killer. Terrific acting and plots, with strong supporting roles from Bill Paxton, Chris Makepeace and Helen Hunt (also look for a very young Ben Stiller). Lots of action, chases, shoot-outs and humor...something for everyone.

I REALLY LIKED THE MOVIE BIG TIME..THEY DO EACH OTHER IN..WITH LOTS OF DIFFERENT WEAPONS..

Very exciting, action packed yet with a personal touch. Patrick Swayze & Hellen Hunt are young actors at the time this movie was made.

This was a great DVD about a cop and has bothers. the that a cop is a cop in new york city. and how 2 of them got shot. it a good movie and as lot of thing in it . if you see you will like it.so get and see it.
