Product Information
Electronic Arts once again puts all the sweat and tension of the gridiron in your control with this new NFL franchise -- only this time, you command it all as the coach. EA Tiburon, makers Madden NFL Football and NFL Street, has worked with all coaches in the NFL Coaches Club to bring football fans a 3D strategy sports game that challenges gamers to build and manage every aspect of a football team from the ground up. As head coach, you develop a team strategy, execute it on and off the field, and try to build a winning organization year after year. Your status as a coaching legend will rise and fall based on all of your actions as you strive to become the greatest head coach of all time. Behind the desk, on the practice field, or while wearing the headset on game days, take the reins of your favorite NFL team and lead it to victory.

Head Coach

Head Coach is exactly what the title presents. You get to be a head coach for pretty much any team as long as you pass the interview process. After that you get Team proposals and pick a team. Then you go through and pick the players you want to re-sign or get rid of. Simming anytime during this process pretty much screws everything up so make sure you take the time and go through all the processes. After signing and releasing players and staff you get ready for the draft by sending your scout out to find players to fill your empty slots. Before the draft you get the chance of making trade offers. Which is great because you can trade crappy players for first round draft picks (If you play your cards right) After the draft, you sign the new players a contract and run drills in practise. (Be aware that you do not become a player during practise or games; you watch the computer do it's thing) During practise and games you try to motivate your players either aggresively (you yell)or nicely (you say "Good Job!!"), in order to highten their spirits and get them to play like pros should. The big con of this game is the loading screens. The loading screens take about 25 sec each time and really take up a crap load of time. You will literally not play a game in career mode until about 12hrs into it. The good thing is, is that if you keep winning games you start becoming a legend and start getting better staff who trains your players better and get them ready faster for gameday. All in all I'd give this a 7 outa 10 on the scale. Thank you for reading and please be so kind as rating this review helpful...thank you and happy shopping!!! :) :)

Being a high school football coach, I enjoy the detail of this game. As the head coach for an NFL team, players get to make personnel decisions, scout players, and basically be the GM for the team during the offseason.

During the season, the coach calls plays. Players will learn what it's like to depend on the performance of others to improve your personal reputation. All the little decisions impct your player rating.

I recommend the game to football fans. Although EA Sports has done a fairly good job of simplifying the game and providing helps, I don't think the average non-diehard fan would enjoy it.

NFL Head Coach

When I was buying this game I thougt that it would be fun being the coach of your favorite team. You would get to call the plays and gameplan against your opponent, but I quickly found out that this game was horrible. The graphics first of all are really bad. The playbooks look horrible, and the players are all fat. The best part of this game I would say is when you get hired, when you fire your staff, and when you hire new staff, thats it. Other than that this game is horrible and I wouldnt recommend anybody to but it. That's why they havent come out with a NFL Head Coach 2. Because this one was so bad. I would much rather play my Madden all day rather that wasting my time and playing this piece of junk. If you go and read the reviews by other people who have played this game they will all say the samething, and that's that this game sucks. Go get Madden 2007 or Madden 2008 and actually enjoy playing your game. Thats why you play the game is to have fun, not to bored out of your mind.

This is for a hardcore nfl fans and it puts you in the place of the head coach to make the good and bad decision to either win or lose games. It is a little time consuming but is well worth it for nfl fans. You get offer a coaching contracts for teams you get to decide who you want to coach of the avaible teams with vacany.Your ultimate goal is to get to the super bowl and to improve your team every year. You have to build trust, job security, draft players in the nfl draft.

Interesting Idea but boring with terrible graphics

Created: 23/07/06
The game does in fact cover every aspect of being an NFl head coach but if you know anything about Nfl head coach;s they work about 90 hours a week and they go over every tedious detail to make their team win, you will be expected to do the same only you will have to pay 40 dollars for the experience and every time you decide to skip ahead a few weeks you will be looking at insanely long loading screens. To top everything off the graphics are horrible, you'd at least expect madden 06 or even madden 05 style graphics here but you'll be sorely disappointed. If you want a game deeper than the atlantic ocean and you dont care about the tedious gameplay or ugly graphics than enjoy but dont expect a madden style game because the two are entirely different.
