NHL 2K11 (Wii, 2010)

the wii only has a few hockey games and I love to play hockey so it was an easy choice the price was really good 20 dollars for a 40 dollar game you do the math.

Love the game! My first NHL game ever and i am having so much fun. The players dont look much like the real life players, but that doesnt bother me at all. Its easy to learn how to play and easy to get the hang of all the controls. All the options and different versions of game play are awesome!

Mediocre... I wish Nintendo would actually put some effort into this because it could explode but it seems like they had total amateurs who don't care make the game.

The functionality of the remote vs the game was ok but far too often did something you didn't want it too...very frustrating (but hey it's new technology ok...).

The rosters were a mess. I constantly found players ages off by several years - sometimes 15 years older than they are (bad news if you want to play dynasty mode). And then you have players names being pronounced wrong. I mean did they even consult anyone from hockey when they made the game?!

The biggest issue I have with the game is the smartness of the on ice players (or should I say lack of). Just very disappointing when for example you have a one on one entering the zone and your defender gives him like 20 feet of space and a clear shot at the goal.

A lot of good to the game but just frustrating over all but a lot of potential if Nintendo would do it right!

Really strange menu system is hard to get used to, and are barely navigable without a classic controller. Graphics were also disappointing.

Not as fun gameplay as EA sports slapshot, but definitely more accurate hockey simulation. Fairly detailed GM mode, but again, the menu system really takes away from the overall enjoyment.

I am pleased with the graphics and general game play. I purchased the game at the request of my 9 year-old son. The controls are a bit difficult to get used to. I would recommend this game.
