    NHL 2K6

    NHL 2K6 is A decent game, but overall not the best!!!

    I've never been a fan of the 2K series of hockey games.

    Here's my list of reasons why:

    - Too easy to score
    - Gameplay not realistic
    - Players look like they're floating not skating
    - Unlockable teams only have numbers on jerseys not actual players
    - Controls are awkward and hard to get used to
    - Put in features that most people will find repulsive

    NHL 2K6 did build on the greatness of the 2K5 dynasty/franchise mode. But I just didn't find this game very fun. It was alright, but the additions to the gameplay I found stupid. Most of the mini-games sucked, and the unlockables suck.

    A plus side to this game is the multi-player pond hockey mode.

    Overall, like other 2K NHL games, 2K6 just doesn't do it for me.

    Final Verdict:

    3/5

    Rent or Buy?: As I said at the beginning, I've never been a fan of the 2K series of hockey games, if you're looking for a great Hockey game pick up a copy of NHL 06 for multiplayer and NHL 07 for Xbox 360 for overall play.

    Very good game. Great gameplay, very fun game to buy and jump right in too playing. It has very easy controler functions that you can expand on if you wish with the total control option (R3 button). You don't have to know much about hockey to enjoy this game. The only thing I didn't love about the game is the players seem very small because you are zoomed out so far playing from a top veiw compared to some other hockey games I've played where you seem closer to the ice but some might like this better.

    This is by far the best hockey game that is out today. It has awesome season and online play. This is a must have for any person who loves sports games.

    I purchased this for my grandchildren and adult family members when they visit. My family feels the game is fun and realistic. Sportmenship is found throughout the game. May not be as realistic as being on the ice, but, it is the next best thing.

    Puck physics are real, meaning deflections and tips happen. The gameplay is the most challenging, never being too easy or hard, usually close games. Buy it!
