The Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore and Douglas W. Gorsline (1975, Paperback)

I bought the The Night Before Christmas because I now have children of my own (1 1/2 and 3 1/2)and wanted a traditional book to read to them on Christmas Eve every year. The book was written back when I was 1 yr old, so I thought it would be fitting. The price was Great and it was exactly what a I was looking for. Some of the newer books seem to be very large and expensive. Afterall these are children that I am getting this for.

I would recommend it to others; however, I would remind all potential buyers that this book was written in 1975 and the pictures reflect that. We also have the golden book edition and it is the exact same, the pictures are just more modern day.

I have always loved this story when my dad told this story to my brother and my sister on Christmas Eve night before we went to bed.

My mom and I lost our copy from 1970 when our basement flooded, so I dove straight into eBay, looking for another copy. We were sooo happy when we found you! The book is worn with love, just like ours- and we love the signature from the little boy who once loved it too :) Thank you so very much, and Merry Christmas early!

I have loved this poem since I was a kid; in fact, I have the poem memorized and the only reason I purchased the book was to let my 1-yr-old grandson look at the pictures as I recited the poem to him. He loves it!

This classic brings back many fond memories of childhood, Christmas, presents, Santa, and the waiting for Santa to come. It is a treasure that I am happy will dwell on my book shelves year round.
