Angela's back and she's looking to party
Created: 16/08/10
Right off, you know Night of the Demons 2 is strictly a tongue in cheek affair. A pair of Bible thumpers stop off at Hull House and wonder if anyone is home. They should have watched more horror films.
Amelia Kinkade returns as Angela and this time, she's targeted the students at a Catholic boarding school for troubled teens. After a few are not allowed at the Halloween dance, one of the girls decides to invite them to a party. Little do the guests know it's being held at Hull House, which really upsets Angela's sister, Mellisa/Mouse.
One of the girls takes back a lipstick tube, which allows Angela to pass over the underground river holding her at bay. She gets a few of the kids to join her, then takes Mouse back to the house as a sacrifice. This doesn't sit well with Sister Gloria, who joins some of the kids to rescue their classmate.
The movie starts off rather slow. A few nude scenes, a couple of nice little scares, but no real mayhem. But once the lipstick takes a life of it's own, then things go crazy. Bodies melting, a head used as a basketball (by the owner) and a really nice serpent Angela make the last half hour a real treat.
It's gorier than the original, which is a bit of a surprise, as the MPAA was cracking down on violence in horror films at the time of this film's release (1994). But the R-rated version is full of all the things that made the 80s horror movies special: nudity, blood and spectacular latex gore effects.
I think they were able to get away with so much as the film has a very pro-Christian stance towards the end. And we are talking old school, as Sister Gloria is all fire and brimstone, wielding a ruler like no other nun (except for Sister Mary Stigmata). She's at odds with the hip priest, who wants to give the kids more responsibility, less corporal punishment. In the end, it's Sister Gloria, the chaste Mouse and the reformed fornicators who save the day through the power of a cross made by a jumping side kick. Really.
Despite one major what-the-heck moment when Sister Gloria gets back in the fight, and a crappy CGI effect before the credits roll, this is a solid, entertaining horror flick. Sure, it's silly and at times makes no sense, but it's a lot of fun and everything you want from a sequel to one of the 80's camp classics.

If you've seen the First one of these you must be a horror fan. The second Night of the Demons Brings a Bunch of Catholic School kids back to Hull House to hang
out with Angela and her Demon friends for a night of Sex and partying. This time around the Budget is bigger and got a few Stars like Christina Taylor from
the Craft and Dodgeball. Also The Demons get released out of Hull house
and Terrorize the Catholic school for a bit which gives it cool points , but sad to say still only a 4 on the scare scale 1-10

Another cult classic

This movie was a decent follow up to the first one. I liked how they brought Angela's sister into the picture to make the plot more interesting. The first movie was creepier and a bit more scary but the sequel was still not bad.

The Gore Continues!

I first watched this movie as part of my brother's video collection on VHS. The movie is filled to the brim with demonic evils, thrilling fight scenes and clever plot twists that will blow you away.
You have your students of a local Catholic High School getting swept up in urban legends surrounding Hell House, which up until now have just been laughed at. In order to escape the confines of a boring dance thrown by the high school leadership; the teens slip away to the haunted mansion for some "fun" of their own.....
This movie is a Must-See!
