The AF-D version of this wide telephoto zoom lens for Nikon camera is compatible with state-of-the-art Nikon SLR camera bodies (both film and digital), and has an Internal Focus (IF) design. The Nikon Nikkor 35 mm - 105 mm F/3.5-4.5 Lens has 13 elements including an aspherical one, greatly enhancing its performance. This Nikkor auto-focus lens relays distance information to the camera body. As the front filter of Nikon Nikkor 35 mm - 105 mm F/3.5-4.5 Lens does not rotate during manual or auto focusing, special effect filters can be used. With only a 45° to 50° turn, the zoom ring and manual focusing ring of this Nikkor auto-focus lens travels from 0.85m, its closest focal point, all the way to infinity. Buyers of this wide telephoto zoom lens for Nikon camera should watch for the "D" letter after 1:3.5-4.5D, to differentiate this AF-D zoom lens from the AF version. | |

) This is good all around lens, not a great all around lens. It is not very fast, but it has a great range 35-105mm. Good Day, outdoor lens, because it's light and compact. Good portrait lens, as long as you control the lighting and use a tripod. Not great for event indoors, with unpredictable light and hand held. Overall a good lens for the right price and sercomstance.

Good lens! I use this lens with Canon 350D camera with Nikon-EOS adapter. The manual focus is great!

) THe lens was better that desribed in the auction, it is butter smooth in it's actions and takes perfect pictures. Best all around lens for wide angle close-ups, portaits, and short telephoto pictures.
nikon 105mm f/2.8 micro lens

Excellent lens, the macro effects are outstanding, this is what I was looking for in a micro lens. I prefer to use MF on macro photography as it gives me more control of the background.
Manual focus Nikkor

) Works great on manual focus. Very sharp. I like it very much. Use it a lot. They want me to enter at least 100 characters for my review so i'll give them what they want. This should be at least 100 characters at this time.
