) I bought this lens as a low cost, mid-range lens to supplement the 18-55mm and 55-200mm pieces that my wife already had for her camera. For the price that you can get these for, they can be a great deal. The only real draw back to it is that it will not autofocus on the entry level Nikon camera's. As is obvious by looking at the specifications, this is not a low-light lens. Nor is it's zoom range all that great. The one I bought is in absolutely mint condition, and was a steal at around $50.00. It takes gorgeous photo's, and as long as you don't expect more than it is capable of giving, it will not disappoint. The autofocus is fast and precise on my D-90, and the pictures come out sharp and free of excessive flaws. I would buy this again for general photography, or as a lens to use in conditions where I fear damage to my other, more expensive lens's.

As of date I am very happy witih the purchase of Nikon Zoom-Nikkor 35mm-80mm lens. It has been very helpful in the project that I had in mind for it. Thank you.
