Nintendo Game Boy Advance eReader Bundle Indigo Handheld System

I've always loved this gaming console. It's portable, easy to handle, easy to "upgrade" with many types of "accessories". The functionality is great, compared to its very pricey counterparts. The color and animation capability is pretty good for the size and type of screen it was designed...not too bad for pre-high definition system. Most of all...I love the minimal cost to own, operate, and have fun with this unit.

I bought this product to play older games that I own and used to play. My previous GameBoy Advance died after years of heavy use.

GBA's were designed for heavy use and subsequently last a long time and are very durable. They do not have trouble with cracked screens or chipped corners but commonly, the battery covers are lost or broken which does not keep the product from being used but may make you lose your game if it is hit firmly or dropped.

GBA's will only play older games so be sure that you are not buying games for a newer Nintendo handheld system.

Finally, be warned that nearly all of these are used items and like my old one, were used by children for years. They may have trouble with stuck buttons or dimmed screens from excessive use. If you do purchase a nice one, expect to be able to beat the tar out of it yourself because they were made to be played! Enjoy!

While the the Game boy Advance is a classic and somewhat forgotten handheld I have two things to say about it to people purchasing one, I'll start with the negative. Its bad quality is that it is not light, there is no back light to the screen, which can even make it playing in the day difficult. But of course you could always spring for a light attachment. Or the other solution, a Game boy Advance SP, but here is why I prefer the original Advance over the SP, its shape. The shape and form of the Game boy advance is so appealing to the paws that you can't put it down. Its size fits right in your hands million times better than the SP and is even fun to hold when not playing. I'll let you judge whether its worth the buy or not (the price is very nice though)

Out of all the Game Boy systems, this one has the best ergonomics, by far! The screen has a comfortable pixel density and size. The shoulder buttons are well designed and have satisfying click switches. The battery life is good. The build quality is great. These things last a long time.

This only flaw I see is the lack of any sort of light. But many lighting solutions are available, too.

GBA = Great handheld

This is probably the best hardware from the console type offers on the market. A lot of good word can be told but I think I shoud metion the only negative I found: the screen is dark - there are no back light - it is hard to see some games...
