This is a great phone

When I first got this fone - I thought it was too big. I have grown to love it. The screen is big and bright. The size makes it feel like a real fone in your hands, now I consider that a benefit. I have had no problems with the phone, except that the voicemail icon doesnt pop up (I have cingular). The MP3 player has as close to as good sound as my Creative MP3 - I do use better Nokia headphones. Have a fast 2GB mini sd works great, has easy access hatch. The steareo speakers are a great gimmick, iwth good sound. The form is great becasue the camera fuction works like a camera - pictures are ok, video not great but sound on video is terrific if you want a quick reocrds of an active memeory. The speakerfone quality, aprticualry becasue of the stereo pseakers is outrageously good. My slider works fine. I too reecommend a crystal case. The Nokia software is easy to sync with Outlook. Every time I see the quality of the screen I am glad I got this fone.

One of the best quadband on the market

A real world phone for the globetrotter on the move.
Pros
Sleek and stylish metal housing. Thicker than the Samsung D900, but feel much more solid. Photo flash is bright and 2MP is great to have. FM radio and MP3 too, especially combined with a 2GB flash card. Stereo speakers are the best, can be very loud, just what I need when it rings from the bottom of my pockets, or when I'm far from it. Battery life is much better than newer N80 model.
Cons
As always, metal housing and screen are easy to scratch. I do recommend one of the plastic crystal casing you can find on EBAY.
Comparatives
Nokia N80, Samsung D900

awesome phone

the phone is all-around awesome. i have had it for about a year and a half so far. a phone lasting me over 6 months is pretty rare but the 6270 has been up to the challenge. the speakers are great, the camera works really well in good lighting, and is ok indoors. reception is really good, and the phone is just rock solid, taking vicious drops, kicks and throws in stride.

SHORT LIFE

I cannot believe how soon that I have to put the phone to recharge because the battery die on me. I am a Nokia fan since.. ever !! especially after I used the other brand e.g. motorola or sony. I am disappointed about how bad is the battery goes. On paper, it says the battery will last for 200h. WHAT A JOKE ! The battery die on me not even 12 hours after 2 calls- one is 20mins, and one is 2 mins.
Other than that, it is a wonderful phone as I always expect from Nokia.
