Hardcore paintball fans that want to bring the sport to their home gaming consoles: this is your game. Activision has done a decent job bringing the feel of real-life paintball to home consoles with NPPL Championship Paintball 2009. But, is it enough to captivate the casual paintball fan or the gamer looking to lose him or her self in an immersive first-person shooter?
NPPL Championship Paintball 2009 is easy to dive right into, all you'll need to do is select a character from a list of real-life professional paintballers, each with his own base attribute package, choose your team and dive right in. You'll want to jump into Career Mode, where you'll begin your career as a lowly Division 2 competitor with standard equipment, but after winning a few tournaments you'll have plenty of points to spend on upgrading your gear and attributes.

great game good way to learn a little about NPPL such as rule for play and the regulations. by regulations i mean the size of the field and how many bunkers are on diffrent fields and things like that. in also give u tips on real life play and tells u things to do so u can be like the pros. while in career mode u learn how to build ur own team, and how and what certain players do. which then u can learn strategy and start designing ur own breakout plans. so like i said great game i absolutley liove it

for the enthusiast

great game! I love it...but then again, I love paintball. if you are anything less than a paintball enthusiast however, I would definately not recommend this game, as "campaign mode," (which is essentially a series of tournaments) can get pretty monotonous. There are a few modes though, where you can play speedball or woodsball, and the woodsball portion is a little more entertaining. this is probably because there's more places to hide, and the games last longer than the speedbal 3 minutes.
I see this being a good online multiplayer game, but I'm not aware of many who have purchased this game.
Graphics in the game are pretty good, but you can tell they skimped in certain areas e.g. character animation (looks choppy) and gun animation (bolts don't move, etc.)
