Unlike its preceding compilation, HIStory, this anthology trims the fat, although occasionally going overboard in leaving off certified chart-toppers like the Paul McCartney duet "Say Say Say" in lieu of lesser-known, latter-day fare like "Earth Song."That said, casual fans of the Gloved One will still feast on plenty, ranging from dance classics like "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" from 1979's stellar OFF THE WALL to the singles that powered the industry-shifting THRILLER and BAD. Among the hits featured here are "Beat It," (with its tour de force Eddie Van Halen solo), the scathing "Dirty Diana" (with Steve Stevens substituting for Van Halen), and catchy title cuts from the aforementioned albums. Meanwhile, Alien Ant Farm fans get to reacquaint themselves with the original "Smooth Criminal," and R. Kelly fans get to experience Jacko croon "One More Chance," the single new song that was penned and produced by Kelly.

) Anyone who grew up with or was born with a DEEP appreciation for the works of Michael Jackson, BUT does NOT have the time or cash to hunt down ALL of his music; this CD has all the GREAT BASIC SONGS of his career...I purchased it because I grew up with michael Jackson music, and as a fan then....I just always thought that he would live as long as I would...
You do not always run out and buy music, and when I was growing up it was 45's that dominated, so i did have ALL the great Motown singles...but not any of his Solo works EXCEPT "THRILLER"!
After the SUDDEN LOSS of Michael Jackson( which for his fans is a day you remember, and will continue to remember where and when, Just as with my generations loss of John Lennon) I REALLY wanted some of the HITS that started, and sustained his SOLO career....this CD has the TOP 18 and is a GREAT PLACE TO START, if you intend to go further, I would recommend "Thriller" as a MUST and a few others, but as for me, after I heard the news on that DAY in JUNE 2009 I went to E-BAY to see what was out there and got the BEST PRICE I COULD ON THIS ITEM!!:) Since then I have aquired a couple other Keepsake Items for "The King of POP", But I do suggest to everyone that they should check out E-Bay before going to RETAIL....YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT BARGAINS YOU MAY FIND AND I CAN SAY THAT I GOT THIS ONE NEW ANY INEXPENSIVELY THROUGH E-BAY!!

I have always liked Michael Jackson and his incredible abilities on stage and vocally. With his death I feel a great loss and wonder what could have been. I decided to buy this CD because I wanted to have all of his best, my favorites, all in one place. Although I do not really like the live version of BEN it is, afterall, Michael and one of his first big hits without the other 4 guys. I am sad at his loss but I am trying to get past that feeling. If a CD can wear out I think it will be this one. Michael has left us a wonderful catalog of great music. I hope that someone does a DVD compilation of his videos. I will be first in line to buy it. Buy this CD, you will not be disappointed. Goodbye Michael, I, and the entire world, will miss you.

Like many others world wide the death of MJ was a sad and shocking event. Growing up with songs such as Ben, Thriller, Billie Jean and many many more this CD brought back many good memories and was a small way for me to celebrate the life of a very talented young man. What a wonderful compilation of MJ's talent and dedication to his art form. I would highly recommend this CD for anyone looking to complete their MJ collection or, to start one!
