The Nutty Professor (DVD, 1998)

This movie is a decent comedy movie.Eddie plays "Sherman Klump" an overweight professor who invents a formula to lose weight that transforms him into another personality named "Buddy Love".The best parts in this movie, in my opinion ,are the scenes in which Murphy plays the Klump family. The film co-stars Jada Pinkett Smith, John Ales, James Coburn, Larry Miller and a then little-known Dave Chappelle(fabulous as "Reggie Warrington" a cruel nightclub comedian).Without Murphy in the fat suit(s),this would have been an average comedy.Sometimes the jokes are predictable,but still a good movie to watch for some laughs.

I remember this movie from way back in the day and have to say that it was semi-funny back then (when I was 14) and it is a lot less funny today.

The performance of Eddie Murphy is typical sound effects and crazy motions and a fat suit (which seems to be all the rave these days) and the film features a lot of juvenile humour.

It's got some incredibly funny scenes but nothing that special or memorable. It's a decent comedy that's watchable once or twice but after that...

Worth Buying?: Not in my opinion... and even if you are a huge fan get the 2 pack and save some money

In my opinion this is one Eddie murphys best movies to date it is so much comic relief and continues throughout the movie it is so much fun you just have to watch it again and agin
