Product Information
Enter a world of mystery with Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath meant for Xbox. In this single-player Xbox game the player takes on the character of bounty hunter Stranger, sent out to weed out outlaws. Stranger has the license to kill or freeze or catch the opponents, but while doing so the player has to make sure the health and stamina bar of the character is maintained or this action-adventure video game is surely lost. Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath can be played from first-person as well as third-person perspective. Featuring Crossbow in the first-person mode, this Xbox game enhances the action effect with fictitious creatures using projectiles and weapons that can be purchased from vendors or found lying around. This action-adventure video game provides the character with nine critters, thudslugs, boombats and wasps that can be used to freeze or shoot opponents and cause explosions.

Oddworld : A fun gaming franchise

Created: 03/11/06
I had played all the Oddworld creation games except for this one when it came out. I had my hands full playing other games on the xbox. I decided before I made the leap to the 360 this would be the last game I'd play since the first one, period, on the xbox was Munch's Oddessy. I have to say ALL the Oddworld games I have enjoyed. This one follows a bounty hunter trying to raise money for an operation of some kind but along the way you use live ammo to capture the bounties. Even though the style of gaming is not new (fps) the concept is and I also like the fast loading times. The only thing I wish that it had was live aware....thats it, cause the game is absolutely fun to play as all the others. I chose to buy it here cause it was brand new and for less than retail. The creator decided to step away for the Oddworld games due to low sales but I hope he returns one day soon to bring more great games from this truly odd universe.

Great Game that needs a Sequel!!

Created: 08/12/06
This is a great video game! Great story, great graphics, and highly addictive. I recently purchased this game for a steal ($13.00) on eBay and I have to say I love it! I've been a fan of the Oddworld games for a long time, mostly for their great animation cut-scenes but thought the game play was poor, until they switched over to this first / third person shooter style video game... WOW!!! I hope they keep this format and bring back Abe!!!

This game also has great cut-scenes and a really good storyline with a plot twist that will drop your jaw!!! I could only dream that this game be made into a 3D Feature but it looks like I'll settle for the TMNT Feature coming out from WB in 2007.

Again, this game has great graphics, the creatures and environments look great. A little on the easy side (especially once you play it with the Cheat codes) but I can't seem to put it down. I've beaten it a few times now and I still love it!

I highly recommend this game for any first person shooter enthusiast as well as any one who like the third person style video games (i.e. Toom Raider). Not for little childer as the game does include some strong language and violence (the shreading machines are really gross and the sound efx are even worse!)

A+++++++++++++++

Keep it up Oddworld! Can't wait for the next one....

ODDWORLD: SW IS A MUST HAVE FOR ODDWORLD LOVERS!!!

Created: 05/09/06
If you remember playing abe's oddworld on the playstation and will never forget the good gameplay, characters, and story, well this is new installment in the oddworld franchise that you must have! This game has amazing graphics, great story of "you" being a bounty hunter, cool weapons with "live" ammo (such as a skunk lookin' thing that stuns your enemies). Also, there is a great new type of gameplay, which allows you to go from 1st to 3rd person. All in all, if you are a oddworld fan, gamer, or collector, no matter what you are, this game will keep you playing with it's fresh new look, and feel!!!

Out of this Oddworld

Created: 05/07/06
I bought the game because I liked the way Oddworld Munch's Odyssey was produced. The environments, creatures and humor of the games really make them enjoyable to play, and this title keeps the tradition going. The crazy weapons and witty characters make the game fun in a gaming environment that is usually too serious. The only thing I didn't care for was the foul language. Not for myself, but because my 6 year old son loves to watch me play XBox, and he was really into Munch. This game, after getting him all hyped up, I can't let him watch because the language is a bit overboard for his ears, and mine, should his mother hear him repeating any of them.....

This was my first FPS (first person shooter) game

Created: 04/09/06
My first FPS game and it even comes with a little personality... but, actually I owned Halo, Halo 2 FPS and other Halo FPS knock-offs before. At first, I thought this game was kind of silly, using animals and insects for ammo and playing a critter myself and fighting other Oddworld critters.
It didnt take me long to figure out how to play this game. I definitely enjoyed it. Unlike other games, where the same "ohh" or "urf" sound-effects are reused in different levels. This game has a large variety of dialogue and effects from various characters throughout the game and to me, this game definitely has personality, a style all its own. This is one my favorites, alongside Doom 3, Darkwatch and Halo 2 Episode 1
I would suggest playing it, get a feel for it and I think the great storyline and (to me) really tough boss fights are worth it (plus complimentary ingame "bad words" and "critter-to-critter" combat are included)
