Reputation well-earned

I've always tended toward small, light, blade-type putters, but have recently picked up a few heavier, mallet-types, just give them a try. I have to admit that they do have their good points.
Take the Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball putter, for example. It's a very impressive looking putter, with its large head and the two white golf ball sized inserts. It looks like a lot of thought went into creating this club.
It feels substantial in your hands, well-balanced and solid.
The two ball shaped inserts really do help you see and visualize the alignment of your ball with the hole ad the weight and balance of the head give you the feeling of a pendulum swinging through the ball and you can almost feel the transfer of energy from the swinging club to the rolling golf ball as you send it on its way to the hole. I gave it a rating of 4, which should really be at least 4 and a half. I'm reserving a 5 rating for that mythical putter I'm still loking for that will sink every putt.

Odyssey white hot putter

I have a blade white hot, but after tryin a white hot 2 ball with the factory black line on the top I just had to have one. It lines up perfect with the line on the golf ball. Easiest putter with confidence I have ever purchsed. The price was right on e-bay less than half of a new one and when I received it, it was close to new as you could get. It putts straight to where I am preciving the putt to roll. Great feel in the hands, a real confidence booster, I have shaved 5 to 6 strokes off my normal score with this putter. The only thing I changed was going to an oversize grip which takes the wrists out of the put. Again a great putter.

Getting used to it after switching from a blade
Created: 01/06/06
I like the feel of the putter, the way it lines up to the ball and the weight keeps a smooth stroke throughout, but it has been quite an adjustment from the traditional blade putter I used before (Odyssey white steel #1, of course). Lag putt distance/accuracy are astoundingly great. But you need to practice the shorties a bit more to get good short distance touch. Overall, a great hit even after 2 full years on the market! My only advice is be sure to have someone fit you for the proper shaft length--It makes a HUGE difference.

A definite putter worth trying. Highly recommended

I love the way the air seems to glide around this putter, its like magic. The 'wings' on the side of the putter are so aerodynamic that it has such a sweet feel as you putt. I really loved everything about this putter, its very easy to line the ball up with the 'two ball' variant mouldings on the top.
Some people say the two ball pattern puts them off, but it definately helps with me. The weighted feel is perfect, and the whole putter is very easy to line up putts and is just dynamite with accuracy. I must admit that if I had the money it would be very hard to pick between this and the new ping craz-e putter.
All in all, if you've never tried one of these, you don't know what your missing, so try to get hold of one or borrow one, or try one down at your local golf store. It really will change the way you feel about putting, as putting is simply 80 percent confidence, and about 20 percent skill.
It is very easy to follow through your putts with this putter and I noticed that on most shots it is very easy to control your distance, more so than most flat head or traditional older style classic putters.
I hope this review helps.

Nothing but A's for this putter's design

I had tried a belly putter at the end of last year with moderate success, but I am always trying to get better. I have it in my head that is is the putter which will make me better.
The quality of the club was not the greatest, I felt a bit mislead, until I went back and read the listing. They were a honest about its description, in my anxiousness to find what I was looking for I 'got what I paid for minus a bit'.
I have dealt with these people before and always found them top notch, and would recommend them highly as a place to look for a specific club.
By the time the putter came I had reserected an old traditional style and was putting very well with it. So I turned around and listed it as a Best Bid and sold it for about half of what I paid for it. I have since bought a Scotty Cameron belly putter, 37". It takes some getting used to. I am thinking of having it cut down and regripped, as it has the long grip. Haven't made up my mind about that as yet.
As a product the two-ball putter by Odyessy leads the league in sales by quite a margin. The set-up provides you with proper alignment and your ball on target very easily.
It is good, it is very good but you have to decide that for yourself. I believe for anybody that has trouble with meaningful 5 and 6 footers, this putter is a must. The belly style is just one of personal preferance, it is the design of the head that makes this club so widely accepted by pro and weekend players. Harrington won the British Open with the 2-ball blade model which I suspect would be the design of choice on the fast greens he plays on.
I hope this helps somebody .
