Overacting and outrageous, but hey it was the 70s.

I bought this movie because I saw I Am Legend with one of my
favorite actors, Will Smith. I gave him kudos for portraying
Neville and so I wanted to see how it matched up to The Omega Man.
Charleton Heston's death scene was pretty bad. The sunglasses
on the "freaks" were laughable, but again, this sci-fi was made in
the 70s and you really can't ask for much.

Omega Man

I had seen this movie when it came out in 1971 at the theater. I was 11 years old at the time, and I had not seen it since! I liked it because of it's edginess and of course, Mr. Heston. It was campy at times, but very much in keeping with the times at hand, with all of the fears of nuclear war and the such. It wasn't scary like it was back in 1971, but still entertaining. I thought it was somewhat cutting edge for it's time, namely for breaking thru some of the racial barriers. Not a gory, bloody movie, but more on the weird, creepy side. I liked it and would recommend it to sci-fi fans!
