One Magic Christmas (DVD, 2004)

Enjoy Christmas and feel the true Spirit of Christmas as you watch this nostalgic movie of faith, caring, and love for others. Harry Dean Stanton does a terrific job as a former cowboy turned angel, who selflessly helps Mary Steenburgen to realize that happiness doesn't revolve around materialism. True happiness comes from what we give to others. It also reminds us that miracles do happen.

This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. The family is down on their luck and the mother has lost hope. By seeing changes in her life, thanks to the angel and her daughter, she regains her Christmas spirit. The characters seem very real and you are drawn into story. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys Christmas and family.

I found this Disney classic on e-Bay and quickly snatched it up . Every time I watch the plight of a young mother, played by Mary Steenburgen, I discover a wonderful way to escape the stress of holiday pressures and rediscover the essence of how faith and love capture the true meaning of Christmas.

This is not among my favorite Holiday movies. It is a decent effort and has a good plot line about a Christmas Angel helping to restore the Christmas spirit in a woman, but I just find it tedious to watch. One may enjoy it the first time, but I do not really see this as being a movie that many would want to watch every Christmas season. This may not be appropriate for some young kids, as their is a scene where the dad is shot, but in the end he is alive again through a Christmas miracle.

I love this old favorite of my and my family. I had lost my copy of it, and thank goodness found it on ebay! Christmas isn't the same without watching this movie.
