Product Information
Outlaws is one of the first LucasArts games to feature multiplayer support, a feature for which gamers clamored following the release of Dark Forces. The multiplayer mode allows each player to choose from six of the 12 outlaws in the game, each with his or her own unique fighting characteristics. In all, Outlaws has three complete game variations to give players rich replay value -- a cinematic adventure game, a bounty-hunter action game and a thrilling, multiplayer game -- all from a first person perspective. The game was designed to transcend the traditional first person shoot `em up. In the adventure game component you are ex-marshal James Anderson, once the most feared lawman in the West. When your sheltered life is shattered by desperadoes, you embark on a quest that leads you to the deadliest killers this side of the Mississippi.

Great old school western shooter

Created: 07/02/08
Gameplay: This is a first person western shooter and you play as a avenging loner name Marshal James Anderson who rides into town seeking to right the wrongs committed by a railroad tycoon and his renegade thugs. And whose life is shattered by vicious desperados who murder his wife and kidnap his daughter, leading the determined hero on an avenging, unshaven kill spree through a prairie stronghold. The story of the game is just like thought western movies. Now there is even a multiplayer part of the game.Outlaws is one of the first LucasArts games to feature multiplayer supportThe multiplayer mode allows each player to choose from six of the 12 outlaws in the game, each with his or her own unique fighting characteristics. There are some single historical missions you can play aswell.

Graphics: The graphics are aboslutly amazing, it's one of the best of it's day. Outlaws uses both the 3D engine from the popular Dark Forces and Rebel Assualt II's INSANE engine. But it kinda looks like the quake engine. So you can imagine all the detail and stuff. This game really give you a cinimatic feel with a great story.

Sound: The sound in Outlaws is marvelous. Besides all of the superb voice-overs already mentioned, the sounds for the environment are impressive. The hinges on doors creak, the stairs squeak, and the guns echo. River's rage, wind wails, and footsteps sound out as you play, creating a very realistic experience. The music is absolutly amazing. There are a total of 15 country old west CD tracks that fit perfectly with the game. From "The Ballad of Dr. Death" to "The Last Gunfight," by the Outlaws.

Value: This game has amazing replay value, The story is amazing and you can just play it over and over again. Also the Multiplayer part is very fun and will provide you with coutless amout of online play. Thoug there are not as many players online anymore as it used to since not to many people now know of this game.

All in all, Outlaws has three complete game variations to give players rich replay value a cinematic adventure game, a bounty-hunter action game and a thrilling, multiplayer game, all from a first person perspective. I have really fun memories playing this game when I was younger, and starting to replay it again. Every should get this game if your a fan of shooters and with a western theme. I would say this game is accually better then "Gun" accept for the open ended part and "Red Dead Revolver"

I give this game 9.5 out of 10

Excellent PC game

I have played the free download demo many times. I really enjoy the first person view, of being a gunslinger. This is an old game, and hard to find at a good price. Many were available on ebay, but I found a seller with an incredible price. That made up my mind to get it, and expand my playing options with the many scenarios. This is lots of fun, and a great way to waste time! :)
If you like being a cowboy, or clint eastwood type, you will enjoy this game.

I love this game!! I bought this copy as a replacement for the one my son cracked the disc on. My wife originaly bought this game for me way back when it came out. The graphics are not as fancy as the games of today (it did come out in 1997) but the game itself is timeless. Very fun, lots of levels and a great spagetti western type story with different ways to play. You get alot of game time for your money.

Outlaws

This is a great PC game. Although many people would disagree because of the graphics, Outlaws is still one of the best games ever made for PC. I bought it because I had played it like 10 years ago when it came out and I have never seen it, until I saw it on ebay, and I had to have it. I submit to you that it is probably one of the most comprehensive games to date!!

A PC game for those who love the wild west.

I love the graphics and the story line. There are secret places along the way, and confusing twists and turns. (All a part of the charm of the game.) You can make yourself invincible, but you can still die if you are injured severely. All in all, I love the game. It's great for any age. I bought the game because I played it about ten years ago and loved it then too. Old games don't die, just hard to find. Well worth the search.
