) It's strange how certain games are tied to a system so tightly that you don't believe they'll ever work on anything else. Outrun 2 is such a game, with fans swearing blind that it could never work as well as it does on the Xbox. So, when SEGA announced OutRun 2006: Cost 2 Coast for The PS2, Xbox and PSP (plus the PC) the news was met with much scepticism. Well, it's time to start believing as OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast might just be the best arcade racer available on all three systems.

Overall, the game isn't bad.
If you're looking for good, clean wholesome racing fun which is pretty simple and doesn't have the million and one mod choices (like the Need For Speed games) then this is it.
Even if you remember the original OutRun and want the trip down memory lane (without the hassle of having to find the original arcade machine and the 10 pences) to put in it then you can't go wrong.
It's pretty retro, but nice to see a game that has been rehashed and still has the charm of the original.

OUTRUN 2006 has that distinct Sega look and feel; people who have played BEACH SPIKERS and CRAZY TAXI will know what I mean by that. Despite the snazzy graphics and eye candy, this is still OUTRUN as it was on the Genesis. Not that it's a bad thing. On the contrary, racing and drifting your Ferrari through long and winding roads is still a blast today as it was back in the 90's. Check it out.

) A great game, I remember the original OutRun Franchise and this gets 2 Thumbs Up. The designers should work on a new title for the PS3 and Xbox360

It was nice playing it again on my CECHA PS-3 System. The item arrived very quickly and it has been a treat for me to remember the original Outrun that I played on the arcades when I was a kid. This is not the oiginal one, but is close enaugh to it.
