I decided to buy it because of the Cesar´s Millan show Dog Whisperer and also because ive bought the other book Cesar´s Way. I wanted to have both and am currently reading them. This book is also great and is about how to connect the different parts of your mind with your dog´s, how to become a pack leader helps you in your daily life and with your dog. Its awesome.

I already had "A Member of the Family," also by Cesar Millan, but this book was more back to the basics, which was exactly what I was looking for. I think it's a great book, especially if you've watched The Dog Whisperer and are familiar with his techniques. I have 3 dogs, 2 of which are about 8 months old, and his methods are working great for me. Even our older dog has greatly benefited from what I've learned.... I can't wait to learn more as I read this book.

This book is a MUST have for any dog owners' library!

I decided to buy it for my husband because we found the "Dog Whisperer" on cable, the author's dog training show on tv, and we've become addicted to it. He trained a dalmation to go on the treadmill, and we now put our golden retriever puppy (now over a year old) on the treadmill for exercise, too! She loves it, and my husband has a 20 minute program set up especially for her. Cesar Millan is a very patient teacher who "listens" to each individual dog owner before training them to train their own dog. Have never seen a better trainer, and look forward to reading the book myself.

Very interesting how Cesar compares our behavior to our dogs behavior. Has lots of helpful information about the right way to train your dog and for you to be the pack leader. I would suggest it for new parents of children. Rules, bounderies, limitations, then affection. It's amazing! I loved it.
