Product Information
First-person shooter featuring a horror setting brought to life by a powerful graphics engine and some of the nastiest level bosses ever seen. The main character is stranded in a place between Heaven and Hell -- the time of judgment is at hand. As a pawn in an unholy war, players battle hordes of monsters while collecting souls. For every 100 souls he can morph into a powerful possessed creature. Played across more than 20 completely different levels, the game is powered by the proprietary 3D "PAIN Engine" and the Havok 2.0 physics engine, allowing for interactive environments and rag-doll physics.

    Poorly made, but mindless fun!

    Created: 23/05/10
Painkiller is a very simple game. You start at Point A and with the several very creative guns you're given you must kill all the demons that stand in your way to get to Point B. That's all you have to do. Kill everything. Don't worry about protecting the President's daughter, collecting three different keycards, or finding the lost treasure of Shambala. Just kill stuff. You get a lot of fun weapons in order to kill stuff like a gun that shoots large wooden stakes that can pin enemies to the wall or a gun that shoots shurikens and lightning.

The issue is that the game isn't exactly fresh. It's stale, quite honestly. The graphics are crummy, programming seems off, and the story will make you fall asleep. But if you just want mindless first-person-shooter fun that you just don't see in gaming anymore then Painkiller is for you. If you like Doom, then you'll love this game.

Great Xbox FPS, dont listen to the skeptics!

No matter what you may think or hear about this game being "last Gen" or "not as good as Halo 2", I say who cares! This game is still a very challenging and graphically pleasant experience. I enjoyed this game for the most part, yes there are some levels that just plain sucked(First 3 levels) but it gets much better. The Bosses are just awesome in scale for the most part, not necessarily challenging or anything. If you play this game and really try to get all the Tarots and play it right, you wont be let down!

Its a great price, a wonderfully visual game and especially great if you can't afford and Xbox 360.

Title is fair and pretty straight forward.

    Created: 04/09/07
Although listed as a 1-2 player game and only being a 1 player game this game is pretty well as described in the listing. The story base behind is a little misleading though. The game takes place in the catholic inspired place called "purgatory". This is very misleading, possibly leading people to believe that there is a second chance after death. The bible clearly outlines that when you die you go to Heaven or Hell depending one choice you make while you are still alive. If you choose to accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, ask for forgiveness of your sins, turn from those sins and allow him to be your forgiver as well, ...By this you can know your salvation 1 John 5:13. Make this simple decision and you will be saved and go to heaven. Just ask. Any way about the game. The graphics are pretty good, although the stages are all pretty well similar. The demons are pretty creepy. But the weaponry is pretty weak and kind of gets old after a short while. This game is worth playing but I would rush out to get it. I hope this was of some help. Most of all I hope someones life was touched by the good news of Jesus and the salvation God has for each of us.

    PainKiller: Hell Wars

Painkiller falls in the same catagory as say Doom,Half Life and a touch of Resident Evil as you have to survive. I read some reviews on this game before
I got it and have reached one conclution, some people should have thier xbox license revoked for being stupid.Meaning this is a game a great one at that based on FICTION,not reality so to confuse this game with the real world is foolish.
The game play and graphics are nice and only for entertainment value and not the real world. Some of us should know the difference.
