) A very good book for those wanting to learn acrylic painting, especially landscape. Yarnell is one of the best of the lot of TV painter/instructors. Many techniques and lessons are assimilated while you produce a pleasant painting and gain a feeling of accomplishment as well. At some point though one must learn to produce their own original work but these books (and videos) will help you get there - if you paint, paint and paint some more !

) i did bob ross for years sold a lot of painting, but got tired of it, i stoping painting and took up wood working. i saw jerry on pbs and like his style, bought first book at hobby lobby read it, heard that there was another book out the but hobby did not stock. bought this one on line, i am reading slowly. i just love his approach, hope one day i can paint like jerry, i have been paint since i was 16 now i am 70 but still like the oil

This is a good book for someone who is either beginning to learn painting or is jump starting the hobby after a long time
