Palm Pixi Plus - Black (AT&T) Smartphone

I bought this product in order to have a cellphone with a affordable price and basic services such email, Facebook, internet services.
Although it offers this characteristic, the internet speed is quite slow. In addition the Facebook page does not allow to use all features.
The positive thing to point out about this phone is its weight.

The palm pixi plus like many of many smartphones today is jampacked with many multimedia, social and produtivity tools. Its capabilites are intended to keep the used entertained, connected and provide the capacity to work away from their office, the Palm Pixi plus does this quite well and more! What truly sets it apart from it competitors is its revolutionary Operating System WebOS. WebOS qives the user a fluid, fast and attractive user interface to manage all their multitasking.

Pros:

*Great feel and build quality.
*Great quality sound and video playback.
*Satisfactory OS performane speed.
*Awesome web browsing experience.

Cons:
*Bearable if not average battery life.
*Disappointing camera quality.
*Palm catalog has limited apps compare to other competing devices.
*Keyboard though well built is too small for some users. (Big thumbs)
*No MSN,Yahoo etc messenger integration.
*No Support for avi,divx etc video files .

Despite the faults I have noted I found it to be one of my favoite mobile devices. Highly recommend for a first time smartphone user.

Some people have complained that the processor is too slow for some things like watching videos or games. I would not know about that because i use this phone for texting, email, phone calls, calendar scheduling, playing MP3s, and snapping occasional pictures. I love this phone. I dunno what it is about it exactly, but it just works so well for me. And i love how small it is. The touchscreen is very responsive. Screen pixel density is great. [195 DPI] The only thing i wish it had is a Micro SDHC card reader. But 8 GiB on-board memory is more than enough to keep me happy.

Who knows? I never got past the LOGIN SCREEN. I hate to be mean to this cute little phone. I'm sure it's great. AS LONG AS YOU'RE ON A CONTRACT!!! Prepaid users beware of this one. Not to mention the fact that it takes a full 3 minutes or more just to get the phone loaded. I ended up buying another phone.. a phone that MANY forums told me I couldn't use with AT&T because it was Verizon. Actually ONLY the seller told me I could.. and they were right. Palm sucks. If you want a cheap, effective, used, did I mention CHEAP?, phone from ebay.. get an LG Fathom. /win
