Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 Tablet PC

This is the 4th Tough Book that I have aquired. I have used both the cf18 and the cf19 at work and found them very durable and easy to use. The cf19 that I just purchased is much faster than my old cf18. It has a core duo 1.2g processor and a sunlight visable screen. I finally decided to purchase this laptop after using a notebook computer on vacation. I could not read the screen on the notebook style computer outside, even on a clowdy day. The Panasonic cf19 with the sunlight viewable screen is always visable, even in direct sunlight. I have owned many other laptops in my life, and all have had break down issues, but I have never had a toughbook fail. I would recomend this versatile machine to anyone who travels and needs a durable and viewable machine.

I love this machine, the Panasonic Toughbook CF19CHBAXBM. It is the 1st gen cf-19 with a core duo, not dual core as advertised in the its auction. The seller had it descibed as a MK2 or MK3 CF19, so I thought that was the model I was purchasing(semi false advertising). If purechasing toughbooks, be sure to research model numbers and the different generations;MK1,MK2,MK3,MK4 and processor specs and speeds. I paid $575 for this PC and even though it is the earlier MK1 with windows 7 installed, I have invested alot more getting it to run right by restoring it back to XP OS for full functionality. Seller described as fully functional but was not. Nothing worked. THESE TOUGHBOOKS ARE ONLY COOL IF ALL THE FEATURES WORK. Note: Sellers on Ebay of toughbooks install win7 on models not compatible to appear upgraded, earlier generation CF-18s and cf-19s normaly operate better with original operating systems. AB

This is a great laptop to have. It can hold up to anything! I like that you can use it as a touch screen.

I buy this product because i'm a yacht master and i need a rugged laptop (i still have a CF18).
I only dislike the battery autonomy...
The other are not so strong and not so easy to change battery, hard disk...You can use it also as a tablet PC.
I like with XP pro for my sea map program and there is a Built in gps; so for me it's the perfect tool.
I have change the ruber key board for the normal one from the CF18 and i have "restik" the keyboard in azerty (i'm french..)

Well, for those who work in the field, this little tough tool is great. The only flaw is that the screen is not really sunlight friendly, but still can be seen. So if you are intending to use it under direct sunlight, don't expect a bright image. Besides that little detail, the rest is great. Great product, I'm very happy with it.
