Product description

Product Information
The first PARAPPA THE RAPPA revolutionized the video game world with its emphasis on gamer creativity, music, and non-violent gameplay. Well, the adorable rapping puppy has returned to action, and this time he's got new motivation for busting his wicked rhymes: It seems that a wicked group of super-villains known as the Noodle Group wants to transform all of the world's hamburgers into pasta. Take on the role of title character, rapping your way through eight massive levels of adventure in 128-bit glory. The animation style that turned so many heads in the original PARAPPA gets a slight upgrade, though the 2D characters and 3D backgrounds still combine to yield the same unique look. Rhythm-based gameplay provides dozens of unique challenges for gamers of all ages (really, this one's for adults and kids alike), putting memory and coordination skills to the test. There are plenty of single-player thrills, though this is one great game to play with a friend.

Parappa The Rapper 2: a solid rhythm game

Created: 19/09/07
Parappa The Rapper 2 improves on many of the shortcomings of the original. However, it falls short of being innovative.

Pros: Parappa The Rapper 2 contains 8 songs, as well as 2 mini games. There were only 6 songs in the original Parappa. Parappa 2 has improved controls over the original Parappa, now you are able to see where the keys that you press land. Due to the improved controls the game seems easier. Parappa 2 retains much of the unique visual style from the orignal, and many of the voice actors from Parappa 1 return in this title. Parappa 2 has a functional multiplayer mode as well as VS. computer mode.

Cons: The game brings nothing new to the genre, and is merely copying the original Parappa. The content of the songs and their quality is questionable. The game is short and can be finished in a single sitting.

Love chop!!! Kick, kick, munch!!

This game is a pure classic. I guarantee that if you have an ounce of rhythmn in your body (or even, actually, if you have absolutely none at all!!) you will be rapping and dancing days, weeks, months of your time away with the funky little hat wearing dog Parappa. This game is like an even better version of Bust-a-Groove because here, you have got ARTISTIC FREEDOM!! You can sing the notes and words in whatever way you think sounds super-fly and whichever cool dude you are rapping with (they get ever stranger and the rhythm and timing becomes more difficult to master as you progress through the levels) will decide whether or not you are up to their super-cool standard. Brilliant!!
The only problem with this game is that it is far, far too short. We want, nay, we NEED more!!!! Bring on Parappa III - the Epic Rap Battle!
But despite this, i swear, you will be singing Romantic Karate for weeks. BUY THIS GAME NOW!!!!

no fun

I'm sorry but this game blows. I am a Parappa fan, the first game brought something new that was enjoyable and fun. the music and songs were great and unique for every level. my mom even liked the the origional. thats why it sold out in Aisa and did well here. but like the Guitar chick who came after him this sequel is not very fun. It tries to return to what made parappa fun but falls short amost every song ( chop the love docter?). suggested only for those who found the old game fun but are unable to find a copy of the origional.

Parappa The Rapper PS2

Created: 29/05/08
I got this game because I remembered it from when I was a kid and I thought that it might be fun. Unfortunately, it wasn't which is fine so ok the game is more for a child. I kept playing anyway though I figured I bought the game anyway I should a least play for a little bit but there was only 8 levels and I finished the game in 45 mins. And the scoring for the game doesnt make sense either when you hit the notes exactly sometimes it will tell you that you are doing bad and others times when you are way off it will tell you how great that was. Waste of time and money.

pretty fun, but the first title and um jammer lammy are debatably better.

Fun game, pretty good, but it was a little easy compared to the first title and um jammer lammy, if youre looking for a challenge, play the classics, this one really feels more tailored towards a younger audience, none the less, for a modest price ($10-$15), its worth picking up and adding to your collection.
