Peaceful Warrior
Created: 12/08/07
This film is based on one of Dan Millman's series of inspirational books designed to help one learn to "take out the mental trash" and focus on living each moment fully. The story loosely covers Millman's autobiographical story of how he became a "peaceful warrior". Nick Nolte does a great acting job as "Socrates". Thought-provoking movie!

A great reminder for life!

I kept borrowing this movie from the library, which I usually do not do with movies, so I thought I should buy it. It is a great way of reminding us about what is important in life and what a gift it is to live in the present moment. I like that it demonstrates the struggle this young man has in trying to live differently. It is not just a "think nice thoughts and all will be good" message. Nick Nolte and Scott Mechlowicz are amazing in this movie.

"It's about the Journey, not the Destination"

This was an amazing, thought provoking, soul searching, wonderful movie! I watched it at the encouragement of my husband who had read the book that this movie was based on, originally published in 1980.
This story has to be one of the best I have seen in a long time. There were moments of such clarity where I had to repeat to myself a phrase that was spoken, so I could remember it for future reference. I did not want to forget the message that was given at that moment.
"Peaceful Warrior" has the ability to bring hope, where hope was lost, insight, where insight is cloudy, and a spark again to anyone who has found themselves "stuck", "lost", or "hopeless".
I highly recommend this story. There was nothing about it that I disliked.
