It is a well known historical maxim that history is written by the victors, which can be something of a problem, especially when wars are concerned, as the victors are almost obligated to neglect or simplify their enemies' intentions, motives, and politics. This documentary analyzes the attack on Pearl Harbor from the Japanese point of view and focuses on Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, the Japanese military genius who opposed the attack on the US and famously observed that Japan had only "wakened a sleeping giant" with the attack.
