wonderful and so infomational on quilting history.

I was suprise to find all the referrence to other writers and books. The patterns was nice to find out how we still have the same names today and other titles some people refer to. The history of fabric and colors and what we did to call quilting a craft. When really it a way to keep our familys warm and able to find patterns in news papers and to keep the comunitys and familys together. The history was so interesting. How young girls where taught to stitch and quilt, with mothers and grandmothers to help to keep the traditions alive. To see how the hand work and sewing machines have made it possible to some how safe time for the homemaker.
