The Pink Panther Film Collection, 6-disc set
Created: 04/01/10
I remember my parents loving the Pink Panther movies back in 'the day'so I decided to check these out! I am glad I did. My whole family enjoyed watching these movies during the holidays.
The first in a series of five, The Pink Panther is the most reserved, if one should use such a word when describing a Blake Edwards film. It starts out sort of low key and works it's way up to out and out slapstick. Once the viewer is initiated and knows what to be ready for, it makes for quite enjoyable viewing. The remaining four films, and these are films, not movies, as they are vintage and classic in style, are predictably uproarious and at times, bawdy. But, I find it mysteriously understated by current standards, even though on disc four(I think), Sellers is robbed of his clothes and finds himself in full drag.
Anyway, you get the picture. I recommend wholeheartedly this series. If the reader likes comedy, then this is for you! No one bests the Blake Edwards/Peter Sellers combo.

Very Good Collection
Created: 07/07/06
An Very good collection of the Peter Sellers, Pink Panther Films.
1964 Pink Panther and Shot in the Dark , 1976 Pink Panther Strikes Again, 1978 Revenge of the Pink Panther, (Peter Seller's Last ). Also includes a disc with
a review/interview with Blake Edwards and several 1960s Pink Panther Cartoon.
Only thing missing is the Return of the Pink Panther from 1974. Instead there is (Trail of the Pink Panther) made in the early 80s out of clips from earlier films.

The OLD Pink Panther Films Never Age
Created: 25/02/07
After the Recent Steve Martin version of the Pink Panther. The throw back to the old film make them more appearing to fans who love the series. This is a excellant collection of the old Peter Seller collection and no modern version is going to replace Seller take and genuis that he make it an artform to watch. Even after all these years. My 10 year old was rolling on the floor and is watching them over and over again. Watch better review then that. My disappointment was that there was missing a few other Panther movies from the series. Shot in the Dark for one. Maybe that vol 2?

Peter Seller's Pink Panther DVD Collection
Created: 09/01/07
Peter Seller is the king of slap-stick comedy. This DVD collection gives you all 5 of the Pink Panther movies in high quality and a couple bouns extras. The collection is certainly worth the money. It's a great collection of classic movies we don't find much of in modern movies. I highly recommend this collection. The Pink Panther cartoons on the bonus DVD are also classic!!

This is an excellent collection. The quality of these DVD'S is excellent. The resolution is very good considering these are made from old movie stock.
My only concern is that no where does it mention on this boxed collection that the third Pink Panther made was entitled "The Return of The Pink Panther" and not made by MGM. The "Return" stars Christopher Plummer and of course the fantastic Peter Sellers as the funny Inspector Clouseau.
The Pink Panther series are in my opinion good family films. By today's standards they are clean and without bad language or "embarrassing" scenes.
