Great for Pokemon fans.

This game is a lot of fun for Pokemon fans. If you are not a Pokemon fan, then I would not recommend playing this game. The story line is an interesting twist on the Pokemon world. Instead of trying to fill your Pokedex, you are trying to rescue Shadow Pokemon (Pokemon who have had the doors to their hearts shut by an evil organization). These Pokemon are supposed to be "battling machines." While it is a different take on Pokemon, I enjoyed the game, and watching battles on the big screen was neat too. However, there is a lot missing from the game that may turn away the "hardcore" fans. The lack of the Pokedex, and not all Pokemon are catchable on the game for instance. Overall, it is an entertaining addition the Pokemon library.

Score: 3.8/5 (because I'm a Pokefan.
Score for everyone else: 2/5

The first 2 games I had for the GameCube were Luigi's Mansion & Super Monkey Ball. They were great games, but after a little while, I wanted to play something new. I had bought several of the handheld Pokemon games and I loved them, so I decided tho get this game.

At first, I was confused; I had a used memory card and apparently the person who owned the memory card had played the game. After getting pissed off at the already saved game, I started a new game. Eventually, I started to get immersed into the storyline. I liked the game more and more as I progressed and whenever I got stuck or frustrated, I would take a break play the battle mode instead of the story mode.

I eventually started to want a PS2 because it had many more games. I sold all my GameCube games but not the console. Eventually, I managed to get the game back, but somehow it wasn't as magical as the very first time I played. I had been playing many more FPS and fighting games and I hadn't played Pokemon in so long. I the game once again.

After 2 or 3 more years I began playing Pokemon games again. I still played FPS games, but I played Pokemon games enough to remember how much fun I had playing this game. I bought it once again, and the storyline was as immersive and exciting as it first was. I eventually started running low on funds and I was forced to once again part with the game.

I absolutely love this game. Any Pokemon lover who is old enough remembers Pokemon stadium, right? This is a mixture of the handheld Pokemon games and Pokemon stadium! I would recommend this to anyone who even slightly enjoys Pokemon. Its gameplay is great and its controls are simple. Pokemon Colosseum is a truly amazing game!

Great Game

Created: 26/08/08
This is not your average Pokemon title. From the get-go you will find out that this game is a look into the darker, more mature side of Pokemon. This doesn't mean the game is bad for your kids. They will likely enjoy it; but I'm just warning that the game is very challenging! You begin the game playing as a tough-looking vandal trainer with a pollutive motor bike that could fall an entire forest of trees. He soon meets a girl who can see shadow Pokemon, and so the story unfolds. Your goal in this game is to catch, purify and train each shadow Pokemon as you battle to thwart the nasty plots of evil organizations. This game has several amazing 3D areas to explore and impressive battle graphics. You can also link up your GameBoy Advance to trade or battle Pokemon in Colosseum. The only things I really don't like about this game is the frustrating challenge level and that the action can get a little ripetitive at times. However, I really enjoyed this game much more than its sequel, "XD". The Pokemon you can catch are rarer and more coveted, and the mature twist makes the game more immersive. The game is really fun and enjoyable, especially if you are a hardcore Pokemon fan.

Pokemon Colloseum

Created: 04/09/08
I bought a Pokemon Colloseum video game for the gamecube for my 2 sons about 6 days back.
I decided to place a bid on it because it was 50 percent cheaper then market price
and my sons are really into Pokemon. My sons really liked this game but it takes a lot of blocks from the memory card. This game features a decent story mode which is supposed to be like the 3d Pokemon advance series. It also has a duel mode where you can fight with other computer Pokemon trainers or upload your Pokemon from your Pokemon Sapphire or Pokemon Ruby on the Gameboy Advance using a link cable . Overall I would give this game a 8/10. Great game.
