    Nostalgia and awesomeness.

I really liked the original Gold and Silver games and they have always been the best pokemon games in my opinion. Then they announced ds remakes and I just thought "Holy crap, it will probably not get anymore awesome!" Then I bought the game when it came out in america and the toll in Iceland pissed me off and held the product from me for almost a month but it got here safe and sound. What can I say? It blew my mind that a game so simple could be so awesome. Don't get me wrong, I liked Diamond and Pearl but they somehow didn't quite capture the classic feel of the pokemon games. Pokemon Heart Gold and Soul Silver are definately the best pokemon games to ever be released, in my opinion of course. I love all the new additions and can't wait to get further. I can hardly believe that I've had the game for little more than 3 days and I've already gotten 30 hours of play time in and can't wait to get more. But I've got to learn from some mistakes. Don't misunderstand, the game came as it was promised and worked perfectly but the toll had kept me waiting for so long that I was supremely excited to get it and when I got it, it was in the middle of a long school day for me so I put the game into my ds, stuffed the pokewalker into my pocket, put my old Pearl game into the cover of Soul Silver and went to class. One thing went wrong though...I forgot to lock my locker so the cover, box, pokewalker clip and Pokemon Pearl game with all the sinnoh legendaries, including Arceus, Darkrai and Shaymin, were stolen. You can only imagine my frustration and anger about what had happened and I wanted to smash something, I was so damn angry. But then I got to thinking, I can get those legendaries back, I just gotta be a little more tradeful, and I can always just replace the Pokemon Pearl cover with a Soul Silver cover any day. But I'm still pissed and if I everr find the guy who did this,, I'm gonna punch him so hard in the face that he'll feel it in his nuts. But that's a whole other story. I'm talking about the game. A few thing I don't like is that you can't have a map on the bottom screen and move around on the top, which really gets annoying when you are trying to search for the legendary beasts, Entei and Raikou. But that's about everything I dislike about it. I really love this game and I just can't wait to play it more. I decided to buy this game because it's a remake of the best in the series and for a guy who's followed the series from game one, that's saying something. Why did I buy SoulSilver and not HeartGold?? Well that'+s is a question that is very simply answered...Lugia is MUCH cooler thatn Ho-Oh and also because I played Silver when I was younger so I just wanted to carry on the tradition. But I've gone on long enough. Time for the final verdict. This game is awesome and even if it has a setback, it's something you'll get used to pretty quickly and hopefully it won't affect your opinion. Thanks for reading and I hope you found this review helpful.

I enjoyed the game immensely and am grateful for the little surprise of having the yellow forest on my poke walker in addition to winners path. Both of which I'd never be able to get nowadays with the events over with.

I don't really care for the hacked Pokemon in the game, but hey it's all personal preference. Ive already deleted and release those that were hacked, or given abilities some could never have gotten. But there were some useful one, ESP the vgc eevee hidden in it.

It would have been a 4 since the real legendaries like kyorge or groudon werent left alone or in the pc so I could use them. But the gem of having yellow forest and winners path made it a 5.

Just like the original, EXCEPT BETTER!

    Created: 30/07/10
This is pretty much the same as the Original Silver/Gold version, EXCEPT it has a ton more stuff! First off, you can trade with ALL the GBA versions. ALL OF THEM! Also the feature that made Yellow So Popular, Pikachu following you around and having "its own personality" is back, but you can pick the pokemon you want to follow you around, WAY COOL! Also obviously the graphics are way better, and it seems to have a bit more story than the originals. This is a welcome version for those of us who spent hours and hours in the late 90's early 2000's on the originals.

I bought this game, because my 9-year-old wanted it so much. He loves this game and the pokemon walker that come with it. Every time we go to the park or anywhere where we might do a lot of walking he wants to take the pokemon walker with him, because it helps him get further into levels on the game. He has owned it now for about 2-3 weeks and it still is his favorite game to play. I think it is great, because there is an incentive for him to want to go outside and play more. I wish more video games had something like this.

Great game to add to the pokemon collection

    Created: 20/05/10
I really liked silver and gold way back when they first game out and now that this one has come out, the game is just as great if not better. There has been many things added to it like graphics updates, you can interact with your Pokemon and then some others things added in for you to do. another good thing about this is the pokewalker, it is a neat little device where it will give you even more to do. I highly recommend this game to any other Pokemon fan out there for it will be a great addition to your collection
