Play the Legendary Pokemon Card Game on Gameboy!!
Created: 13/07/08
This game was overall fun to play, the only thing it lacked to me was expansiveness. You are able to get 8 medals, and compete in tournaments along the way. After you get all 8 medals, then you play the 4 masters and you recieve legendary cards when you beat them. You can play them over and over as many times as you like.
As far as multi-player goes, you can trade cards with others, and recieve mystery cards via Card Pop! This is fun.
There are in-game trades, which allow you to get rare and promo cards, but some offers come only once! So make sure you save plenty, in case you miss something. And you can battle all the trainers as many times as you like.
This game is a very good buy. I bought mine because i love to play the Pokemon Trading Card Game but cannot always find some one to play it with. Now I can play whenever I want!

Fun for a Pokemon card collector - not much else

I bought this game mostly because I collect the Pokemon cards, mostly just the original sets for the nostalgia factor. This is a pretty fun game, because you get to play with the actual cards from the sets, as well as build your own decks. After a while it gets slightly repetitive though, and it's nowhere near as fun as the other Pokemon RPG games like Yellow, Red, or Blue. Battling eventually just comes down to coin tosses and luck, so it can be a little frustrating when the computer is winning all the coin tosses and drawing all the good cards. It's worth being mentioned that you can battle your friends and recieve special cards by connecting with them, but chances are none of your friends have a Gameboy Color and this game (unless they're awesome!).
Shortened version: Fun game for someone who collects Pokemon, but nowhere near the fun or replayability of the other Pokemon RPG games.

Pokemon Trading Card Game

The game is just as it was in the picture. When I first tried to play had to blow at it a few times. However, I haven't put this game down since I got it. This brings back middle school memories and still has the challenging stages that is required of games nowadays. I love the game and have nothing to complain about being that the description included everything.

One of my cousins purchased this game and had a lot of fun playing it. So I decided to get my own version.
The game is a great card game and fun card-based video game alternative to Yu-Gi-Oh!. The pace is a lot slower than Duel Monsters and the strategies follow the rock-paper-scissors combat formula popularized by the Pokemon Version series, but it is still fun to create and modify decks, duel a variety of decks, and collect all 226 Pokemon cards, many that remain in-game exclusives. Gameplay can be compared to a complex form of "card chess:" you set up your cards and use their strengths to best your opponent on your turns, as well as think two steps ahead of your opponent.
The save battery works even to this day, and if it doesn't, it can be easily replaced. It's a shame that this was the only Pokemon card-based game that was released. It is a lot of fun.
