Movie synopsis
In this moving drama, 19-year-old Andy (Phillip Vaden, in his film debut) isn't really sure of anything, except that he wants his terminally ill mother (Julie Hagerty, WHAT ABOUT BOB?) to see the pope before she dies. So Andy strives to reach his goal, while he falls for a pretty blond and tries to take his band to stardom. POPE DREAMS also stars MEMENTO's Stephen Tobolowski as Andy's father.

) This is a nice movie that I recommend for every teenager to see. The hero in this movie loves his mother very much and he tried his best to please her until her last days. He also experienced his first love.This is also a very nice love story for a teenager growing up. This is a different one from others you have seen. Watch it to find out what it is all about. Pope Dreams should have been titled The Promise of Tomorrow, which is more appropriate and will get the attention of movie goers. I bought it only because it won many awards and I am glad I did. You will not regret buying this movie.

) After reading reviews on this movie on another site, (and seeing that Marnette Patterson is in it) I just had to buy it. I am so glad that I was able to find it here on ebay! It's a wonderful story about finding yourself and creating your future. This movie had everything - humor, sorrow, happiness, affection...etc. It was very well done, entertaining and something you will want to watch over and over again. I highly recommend it to those who have a sweet spot for heartwarming dramas like this one!
