    Product Information
Based on the King Features Syndicate cartoon show, the Popeye is an amusing, Nintendo game. Your sole objective in this Popeye video game is to rescue Olive Oyl and be safe from your love rival Brutus. The only way you can save olive in this Popeye video game is by collecting the hearts, letters and musical notes thrown down by her. You lose a life once you fail to catch an item thrown by Olive. Played in three stages, this Popeye video game has Brutus, Sea Hag and vulture Bernard as your enemies. Sea hag throws bottles at you while the vulture appears in level three. The only weapon you have in this Popeye video game to tackle the obstacles is your fist, which can smash the bottles and the vulture as well. Brutus in the Popeye game has to be knocked out by eating spinach. Once you get your spinach, all Olive's items you catch, double your points.

    Popeye for Nintendo Entertainment System

    Created: 12/09/09
My enjoyment of classic video games far exceeds the fun I have playing modern video games. For one, classic video games that are cartridge-based (instead of CD- or DVD-Rom) seem to last forever, so I still have working games that I bought in elementary school. The cartridges merely require occasional cleaning. Second, due to the lack of 8+ button controllers and insanely good visual effects, classic games are more fun to play, because you can learn to play them immediately and they don't rely on visual masturbation to entertain the players. Donkey Kong is one of my favorite games of all time, and I currently have the 6th highest score for Donkey Kong on the Nintendo (validated by Twin Galaxies). I remembered a friend of mine had Popeye when we were kids, but I never really played it. It looked similar to Donkey Kong, so I bought Popeye on eBay since Nintendo games are difficult to find anywhere else except flea markets and thrift stores. Needless to say, Popeye is awesome and very addicting. Hopefully I will be able to submit a score to Twin Galaxies and be in the top 10 scores for Popeye, too.

POPEYE ARCADE CLASSICS - NES CART

    Created: 06/01/09
It doesn't get more classic than the Arcade Classics series. Trying to find them all can be a challenge for the MINT minded, but the payoff is awesome. Great cart for collectors and fun for the nostalgic gamer. POPEYE - NES
