Practical Magic (DVD, 1999, Special Edition)

Practical Magic is one of my all time favorite October movies, that I have watch over and over since 1999. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman as Sally and Gillian Owens (the Owens Sisters) are at their best in this 1999 PG13 Romantic "Witchy" Comedy about a family curse that dooms any man to an untimely death that falls in love with an Owens woman. The supporting cast (Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing as the Owens Aunts), Adrain Quinn as the policeman and Gorman Visnjic as Jimmy) is delightful. It is a fun and amusing movie with a twist of Magic that isn't dark. I very much enjoyed this film and soundtrack. (the Midnight Margarita dance to is great!)
Fun, playful and clean!

This movie is a easy Top 10 fave for me and my family.
There is not one performance in this picture that isn't touching and/or real in some way. Though this is a fun magic and witch picture, it's Not all Hocus Pocus.
It has real relationships with love and pain, add the hints of really strong women in tough situations and you have a movie that really draws you in..

I really can't say enough about this movie with it's whimsy and heartache.
It's just a perfect mix as are the casting of Bullock and Kidman as opposing sisters.

Weather you love it or hate it, It's easy to see that this is not just another campy halloween witch movie for the kiddies.
This year show them something with depth and love.. show them Practical Magic!

This is a fun movie, filled with many fun elements. It is the best movie I have seen from Nicole Kidman, and just one of many successes for Sandra Bullock. Nothing like a good witch movie to make things fun and interesting! Then you add a little tequila and crazy dancing with Stockard Channing and Diane Weist, made me laugh and feel good.

Had been looking for DVD doe awhile could not find it anywhere. Looked online and found it at a great price. Love this movie and love Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman. The movie is a great one to add to your collection.

This movie is great fun and although deals with magic it shows a little dark comedy in dealing with the characters. Two sisters very devoted played by Nicole K. and Sandra B. who give out standing performances. This is a feel good movie with just enough drama, romance and twists to delight any pg-13 audience.
You will not be disappointed. I personally bought this movie because the cast is wonderful and the story line is interesting.
