Album Notes
Testament: Chuck Billy (vocals); Alex Skolnick, Eric Peterson (guitar); Greg Christian (bass); Louis Clemente (drums).Additional personnel: Mark Walters, Bogdan Jablonski, Willy Lang, Elliot Cahn (background vocals).Recorded at Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, California.Personnel: Chuck Billy (vocals); Eric Peterson, Alex Skolnick (guitar); Louie Clemente (drums).Recording information: Fantasy Studios, Berkeley, CA.The gothic and occult themes associated with The Legacy and The New Order aren't nearly as prevalent on Testament's third album, Practice What You Preach. Instead, the thrash metallers place more emphasis on subjects like freedom of choice, political corruption, hypocrisy, and the effects of greed and avarice. One of Testament's most informative songs, the disturbing "Greenhouse Effect" takes a painfully honest look at environmental destruction. But while the band shifts its focus lyrically, its musical approach is much the same -- under the direction of metal producer Alex Perialas, Testament takes no prisoners and remains unapologetically abrasive. ~ Alex Henderson

I think this is the most complete Testament album. The song "The Ballad" is essential for any thrash maniac, songs like "Time is Comming" and "Practice what you Preach" shows Scholnick abbilities with Eric on the rhythm parts. Recommended!!

I love this CD!!! I put it on and it reminds me of jr.high and high school years. It reminds me of how cool thrash metal really was,and the power of the songs of that time. The album cover is the thing that drew me to the album, the clouds with faces the stone bodies as crosses. The power of the music the ballad is a great song greenhouse effect of fates warning that is just now hitting reality. Put on your headphones and thrash people!!!!!! If you like classic Tharsh metal buy this you will not be disappointed!

A truly classic metal album. if youve got the older Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer
/Anthrax theme in your music collection, once you hear this cd, youll be pissed that you didnt get it YEARS ago. Excellent old-school thrash/speed metal. A must own in my opinion.
