Jabez More Honorable Because it Wasn't His Only Prayer

Created: 21/03/08
This is a great little book. If you choose to read it, read the whole book. Just don't set it down and leave it and yourself hanging. It took me three sittings, but I read it all. If you stop mid book, you'll really not finish understanding the prayer of Jabez. I admire the author for suggesting that you read it more than once. It's really not that long, and easy reading if you let him talk to you and don't struggle with it. One, thing, page 25 - there is no "catch" to receiving God's blessings. No secret, just the way, the truth, and the light.

The Prayer of Jabez

I bought the book for a gift because I received it as a gift. It is one of THE BEST books I have ever read. I have been quoting the prayer since June and have seen tremendous blessings in my life. Blessings to family members, our first swimming pool, new job etc. Someone tried to break into my vehicle and was caught before they got in. So many blessings that there is not enough room to mention.
The author is very easy to read and down to earth. It relates to today's world and our future for tomorrow.
I challenge you to read this book and start today quoting the prayer. Do this for 30 days and just see if the windows of heaven will not be opened up for a blessing so BIG you'll hardly be able to contain it!
I highly recommend this to anyone be it a new christian or a lifetime follower of our Lord and Saviour!

This book fits into that category perfectly.

Bruce Wilkinson's writing style is very accessible. I'd never heard of Jabez nor his prayer until I heard friends discussing the book. This one is well worth reading over & over again!

The Prayer of Jabez

Created: 10/05/07
I decided to purchase this book because a friend of mine challenged me to read it and accept God's gifts. I have read all but the last chapter just because it is so overwhelming to read. It makes a lot of sense about all we need to do is ask God for more and he will provide it for us. I am a little scared to finish the book because this is where I would have to say the prayer and ask for more and right now I don't feel that I am strong enough to accept what God has in store for me. I'm being quite selfish, but I plan on reading the ending very soon and handing my life completely over to God for him to guide me.
