Become the Ultimate Hunter!

I originally bought this game brand new, completed every mission and even earned a few bonus items. I got into a selling frenzy and not realizing my possible oversight, sold this game. I immediately regretted selling it. It's difficult to find but I managed to get a good version with no instruction booklet.
The story follows the same plots of Predators 1 & 2 with a really cool time travel twist and some VERY impressive cutscenes between, during or after missions. You really find yourself in the thick of a great plotline that would've made a great movie version of Predator 3. Some of the villains and bosses are hokey but hey, ya gotta have someone with a spine and skull to rip out, otherwise your goin' home trophyless. Speaking of violence and horrible ways to die, Predator has many, many ways to dish out nasty punishment at his disposal. You could begin with a face grab and mega kick or go all out and rip a guy in half. Heck why not throw a fool ten feet in the air and impale him on your combistick if he chooses to step up for a taste?
You have access to EVERY piece of Predator tech! Cloak, vocal mimicry, wristblades, combistick (staff, which you can upgrade to a double edged sword or glaive.), smart disc, speargun, shoulder-mounted plasma cannon, pulse mines, fire bombs, every vision tech (heat vision, night vision, and psychoanalysis!!), you can climb certain walls, do backflips, megajumps and basically be as bad as you want to be. But not too bad now, you can only kill so many humans that are running or scared per mission. You have honor to maintain. Save the pain for the drug dealers, voodoo mystics and mafioso that have stolen your tech and brought you and your clan much shame.
There are plenty of bonus missions, alternate costumes, and upgraded weapons to earn if you choose to become the true Predator. I must admit this game is a challenge if you are trying to earn bonuses. It's difficult enough as it is. Especially the latter stages where you really have to ration your energy and health.
The play controls are perfectly responsive. My only beef with this game is the rotating camera, left goes right and vice versa. It takes some getting used to. The camera angle is too dependent on the right analog's position. There is no way to lock it in. Which comes in handy at times for blind jumps and such but proved too distracting for me. It also makes it very difficult for Predator to run fast if the camera angle isn't parallel to his shoulders. Making some of the bonus tasks (which are ALL about speed) nearly impossible.
All in all, this game is very fun and highly addictive once you realize how many items and moves are at your disposal and the option to be stealth or show yourself and just be as ugly as you are mean. One of my favorite missions is waking up in a lab stripped of every piece of your tech and realizing just how much there was available. I appreciate the fact that you can replay previous or favorite missions at your leisure or go for a checkpoint run and try for some new items. There is PLENTY to do in this game. I still play my new (used) version when I complete my newer, easy games. *Watch out for some familiar foes, they come in droves and can be quite a nuisance!

Spiderman 2 ring a bell

First who hasn`t seen Alien Vs. Predator, Predator, and/or Predator 2. If you haven`t then just forget about reading this review. As you know the predator can only kill prey that actually poses a threat at any level. And of course that is how it is in the video game. Personally I was expecting to go into jungles and like flay victims. But you don`t. You can only flay if it`s a mission. It`s pretty much like Spiderman 2 only there`s blood and gore and you can actually kill civillians, (But not too many). But those are the only things that suck on ice. But the graphics and gameplay and stuff are awesome. So i`d get it if you found a copy of it. (Note:This game is very popular and will not stay in stores for another year.) ( Another Note:It`s still at it`s original price from over a year ago and is very hard to find. If it doesn`t Have it at Fry`s Electronics then You probably won`t find one any time soon.

Predator: the great hunt
Created: 05/03/10
Well I love the predator and alien movies. And I love this game. Heres why...
Graphics: Very good over all. The cut scenes look freaking amazing... And in game the Predator also looks amazing... The rest of the characters and the environments don't look so good though... Not bad... but not good... It's hard to describe... One thing I love is that when you are wounded the neon green blood appears right on the Predator... It's so cool... The weapons also look wonderful... The environments them selves are very detailed... But they look very bland at the same time... The colors aren't as bright as they could be but it's still great... I give the graphics an 8/10
Sound: From the Predators roar to the screams of that guy your currently decapitating it's all wonderful... Also the Jamaican guys you always have to fight sound pretty funny... not funny bad... funny as in... funny... The only minor thing I have a problem with is that when you swing your combistick it doesn't make a satisfying “swish” or “bang” or a cool cutting sound of any kind. It just makes a “thump” sound.
But all the other weapon sounds are wonderful. Especially the Wrist blades. I'll give the sound a 9/10
Game play: Well here's where this game really shines. It's just so much fun. The stealth type kills are awesome. You can grab people's legs and then slice them in half. Or you just decapitate them. Or you can rip their spines out. There are also some cool scenes where you skin people and hang off of tall buildings or signs. There are also cool moves when you have to kill mechs. You jump on top of them and smash them til the door opens and the Predator rips the guy out of his seat inside the thing. It's very cool. Also there are a plethora (read: lots) of extra costumes to unlock. A total of 9 I believe. There are also a lot of bonus race type mini games that are called “ritual challenges” which basically involves you running from point A to point B within the time limit. These are pretty cool. The only thing that I find detracts from the game play is that you don't have very much cloak energy and the recharge points are very hard to find. Another very minor thing is that you can only carry six plasma caster shots at a time. But who really cares about that eh? Predators are all about the happy gore filled melee. In all I will give the game play a 9/10.
Closing comments: Well you can't really go wrong with this game. It is intended for people 17 and up as it is very gory. Don't play this with your little brother in the room. That's for sure. But seriously, mix a Predator with all his coolness, all the weapons from the movies, the medi-comp device and a cloak and you've got one heck of a game. Definitely worth buying. Over all I believe the game deserves a perfect score. That's right a 10/10.

Predator: Concrete Jungle PS2

I have always done business with EBay for the same reason: They sell hard to find items. This title here was exactly what I mean. This is a hard to find game ,but yet, a very fun game to get. I recommend this game to anyone who gets sick of playing games that are not so hard. Because this game definitly has its throwing the controller moments.

You have to go in with some love for the franchise, but not an obsession.
Is the story ridiculous? Yes.
Do the goals make sense? No.
Are there frustrating levels? Yes.
But I'm the friggin' Predator. And some of your kill moves are gore-tastic! And despite a few of the frustrating levels mentioned above, the majority of them are simple and fun. Mindless fun, but fun.
It's not deep gameplay, it's not a good plot, but you get to be the Predator. Just that, to me, is fun enough.
It's not going to be a miraculours experience. and if "just being" isn't going to be enough to make it at least a fun experience, then you won't enjoy this game. But I like it.
