When your ready to try again

After our first loss we struggled to find and read everything we could about it. Like many other couples we were not prepared despite reading every book we could during the pregnancy; these are topics often avoided and not confronted until after the event. This by far was the best we came across.
First this is one of the few resources that actually devote a part of the book to the father. Not only how to deal with his own grieving but how to deal with the grieving of his partner. Too often we forget the father suffers though this too.
Second it really helped my wife deal with her anxiety over another baby. Most other books gave her more anxiety and new things to worry about. This book helped her understand her fears about trying again and conquer them. Instead of just giving stories of loss this author also gives stories of hope, of women who overcame multiple losses and success stories.
We highly recommend this book for both the mother and the father.

After losing my son due to stillbirth at 38 weeks I read and read all I could about it, how to move on, how deal and cope- You name it I have read it. But this one was so touching and moving. It was gentel in how it would tell things and was very infomative. I love how she put the balance back into my life with they way she wrote her book with information, love and knowledge. This is a must if you have experenced a loss.

I bought the Pregnancy after a loss book after 2 losses. It gives different perspectives on trying again, advantages & disadvantages of waiting. I like the author's writing style, no fancy jargon. She also uses lots of personal examples and individual's stories to illustrate her points. It's informative and helpful. I like how it addresses different feelings one faces. Good luck!

This book is extremely helpful for couples who have suffered a stillbirth and are contemplating trying again. I think that's it more geared towards that situation, as opposed to miscarriage. Overall, a very helpful, comforting book.
