Prehistoric Collection: From Dinosaurs To The Dawn Of Man (DVD, 2009, 8-Disc Set)

i have only seen 4 of the dvds with my son so far and i think they are awesome. the repetitiveness of what they are talking about bores my son he is 4 3/4 old. you can tell it was a television series and when it is coming back from pretend commercial break. if they would have taken those updates out the show would be even 10 times better on dvd. i have not seen the cavemen ones yet but that is because i really do not want my son seeing them because dinosaurs (well most of them) died off 60 million years ago before humans came into the picture. we would never existed if the huge dinosaurs still walked the earth. only ones to survive was the birds. see because of the death of most dinosaurs the mammals were able to fill in the gaps they left behind and to grow and later we showed up in the history. so if the dinosaurs that are not birds are in the cavemen dvds it false. it is a great collection just better for kids who have attention spans longer then ten minutes.

Great info. Great battle scenes between dinosaurs showing how they attacked and defended themselves. New info shows that not all dinosaurs were cold blooded, some were warm blooded. If dinosaurs didn't go extinct, that raptors could of evolved into a smarter than homo sapiens type of humanoid. Evidence now shows that even dinosaurs like T-Rex and raptors not only hunted in packs, but were caring parents. Tells how dinosaur hunters are like a combination of Indian Jones, computer geeks and CSI officers in their approach towards solving the big questions on dinosaurs. A good set for anyone who likes dinosaurs. Enjoy.

Covers all bases. One of my Grandson's favorite Christmas gifts! He is constantly watching these DVD's.

Boring and repetitive. It was probably better as a weekly series. The computer generated images were good.
