    Movie synopsis

    Rampant wackiness ensues when a cargo ship carrying a load of beer is hit by a Japanese torpedo, and Sgt. O'Farrell (Hope) sets out to rescue the beverages. Hoping to buoy the confidence of his troops even further, the wily sergeant also attempts to hijack a group of lovely nurses for his men as well - only to end up with several male nurses and Phyllis Diller! Add in a strong antiwar statement, and you've got the mixture for one of Hope's most enduring films

    The quality of this movie converted to DVD is very good. It's a very good movie to see with the entire family. The story line is interesting, funny and Bob Hope lives up to his star status. The reason I bought this movie, I was in the Navy at the time it was filmed. My ship was in Puerto Rico at the Naval Station Roosevelt Roads at the time and Bob Hope and his film crew did a USO show for us at the Base. He was a true American Icon then and still is to this day. His USO shows for the service men around the world will always be remembered. I felt honored to have the oportunity to attend one during my service time.

    If you're a Bob Hope fan and Phyllis Diller nut... you'll love this one. It is a typical 60's style comedy packaged up during the WWII era and the laughs are minute by minute...If you like good, clean fun and like that for the family nights...this one is for you!!! I remember seeing this one in the theater and with the family entertainment centers out there for the flat screen T.V.'s you'll think you were back there again... Get it and keep it to see over and over again...Cheers!

    This is one of my husbands favorite videos. I have enjoyed it so far and we have watched it several times. It is very funny
