Prom Night (DVD, 2004)

If you are a were born in the 70's like I was, I'm sure you probably remember this movie. I was about 7 or 8 years old when this movie was released. I can remember watching it and being completely and utterly terrified. The abandoned school house at the beginning of the movie has haunted me all of my life. I see places that remind me of it and I relive my childhood fear. I had to have this movie. Especially now that there is a new version being released. I feel I can't watch the new movie without seeing the original first. I haven't yet seen the remake, but I definately look forward to doing so in the near future. I can say that this movie didn't scare me this time around. But I still love it. I'm so happy to have it as part of my dvd collection. I've watched it over and over again with several of my friends, and we all have the greatest time sharing old stories of the first time we watched it and other movies like it, and of course the day and time it originally released. It's also quite amusing how the hair styles and clothing don't look out of date. The vehicles are dead giveaways on how old the movie is though. Hard to believe Leslie Neilson is still alive and still looks the same.....old. LOL.... Jamie Lee Curtis is absolutely beautiful. Just take my word for it, buy this movie. You'll love the trip back in time as much as I have.

Prom Night at first looked like a cheap knockoff after reading reviews but I decided to rent it regardless. I found it a better film than I expected. Prom Night has tons of suspense and is a good film for the pg313 audience. No massive gore or deranged limbs like in diehard horror films but squanders off as a original prom night horror.

JAMIE LEE CURTIS, THE QUEEN OF THE HORRORS. AGAIN SHE PULLED IT OFF. NOT AS NIEVE AS HALLOWEEN, BUT JUST AS GOOD. HERE SHE ONE TOUGH LADY,NO ONE WOULD TAKE ANYBODY ELSE FROM HER.

great to see the old classic horror movie from the Jamie Lee Curtis hey days. By todays standards it is pretty tame, but back then this stuff was scary.

I remember this original version when I was a little girl and it scared me. I love these old horror movies..trying to build up my collection:) If you haven't seen this one, try to. It's great!
